I don't think it airs until Wednesday according to the post above.
This was in my inbox this morning:
IFC Reminder: Dream of the Dead: The Making of George A. Romero's Land of the Dead
You asked to be reminded about the IFC airing of :
Dream of the Dead: The Making of George A. Romero's Land of the Dead
Sunday ,12 June 06:30 PM
yep, it was on today(or atleast it was supposed to be). I noticed it while channel surfing but it was already over since it was 6:58 and it started at 6:30.
This is weird. I watched IFC and it was not on before, during or after its scheduled time-slot. The DirectTV menu said it was the LOTD doc, the name was written there, but the program was some shitty IFC at Cannes show.
I am sorely dissapointed. I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully, it will actually air the next time it's supposed to be on.
Dream of the Dead: The Making of George Romero's Land of the Dead will be showing on Monsters HD on June 25 and 26 also. If anyone has Monsters HD they are having a weekend of the dead on June 24th and 25th. Damn I wish Directv would get off their ass and get that channel.
well I'm guessing this just isn't going to air. the first listing didn't air. I tivoed the 2nd showing and that didn't air either. I have the next 2 showings scheduled as well. I'm hoping one of these pans out.
IFC did air it on Wednesday, so if there's more scheduled showings, more than likely it'll be on.
did they? what time? my tivo recorded what was supposed to be this but was something entirely different.
Wednesday, 6-15, at 6:45PM EST. It looks like the next showing's on Sunday at 3:45PM EST.
Dream of the Dead
May have spoilers of sorts... but ya... Hopefully.
The DirectTV menu had it listed as At the IFC Center (some stupid preview show) but what actually aired was DreamOTD on Wednesday 6:45 (est) 3:45 (p).
After reading the review at Bloody Disgusting, Land may not be that great. I don't like smart zombies. Slow and stupid only..
Hm, that quote from Romero is supposed to get us excited I suppose, but the fact that he's gone in with expectation of making a follow-up is a bit bothersome to me.
A new interview with Romero:
Just watched the IFC special. In general, I feel positive, but don't like some of the developments with the zombies. I don't think it will be enough to make me dislike the movie or anything.
Savini's in pretty good shape for a guy pushing 60....
I saw "Dream of the Dead" today on IFC. I liked it alot. Although it did feel rushed. Hopefully they will include some sort of an extended version of this on the "Land" DVD.
Might as well stick this here... its just a lil interesting article somewhat, nothing to do with the flick.
Just to let everyone around Pennsylvania know, there's the premier coming up this wednesday in Pittsburgh. Romero's gonna be there, and it's at 50 bucks a ticket. Even from Philly, it's a long drive, but I'm headin' up there tomorrow.
Yeah, I live just outside of Philly. Sadly work is holding me back from the 4-hour drive to the Burgh. I'd love to go to that afterparty. Damn.
