this looks very interesting to me...I'll see anything Dafoe is in...! Got a nice creepy vibe...I'm curious
Awesome! I'm always ready for something new from Von Trier.
yeah, that looks really interesting....foggy woods are some scary shit!
Creepy good. von Trier is a master!
Dafoe. von Triere. Count me in!
I'm looking forward to Dimension
That sounds awesome. But that wait is gonna kill me, haha.
I was going to start a post on this, but was too lazy. Glad someone else did though as the trailer looks pretty messed up, which I like, and could end up being truly scary.
As for that Dimension film, sounds like a really interesting idea, can't wait to see how it turns out!
von Trier is very hit and miss with me. Liked Dancing in the Dark but his previous films like Manderlay and Breaking the Waves were mediocre-bordering-on-awful.
That said, AntiChrist looks seriously messed up... in a good way.
Looks beautiful and terrifying. thanks for posting the trailer, Chaostar. Probably would have been under my radar otherwise.
This looks awesome. Thanks for the post.
I have a love-hate thing with Von Trier. He's undeniably talented and has made some great stuff but at times I feel like he's just trying to get a rise out of audiences while not really having a whole lot to say. He's a button pusher, but certainly interesting. The trailer looks promising,I might give this a spin.
I'll watch anything with Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Trier is one of my favorite directors, and film-making genius, so bring it on. I've always wanted him to make a full-blown horror film, and this looks to be everything I expected one would look like and then some!
I think i'll be surprised if this didn't turn out to be great.
Looks creepy, but I just saw a really graphic clip and it was borderline pornography if you ask me, regardless of the talent behind it.
Why dismiss the talent in something if it's pornographic?
Is pornography bad? I don't get it.
I wasn't dismissing anything. I'm actually quite interested in seeing this as the buzz has been pretty good. I'm just calling it like it is.
I just find it funny that if this would have just been a clip found on some website then it would be labeled porn, but since it's a mainstream actress masturbating on camera for a well-respected director it's not.
Like I said, I'm still very interested in this. I'm digging the atmosphere that the trailer and the few clips released so far gave off and I will most certainly check it out when it comes to the States.
"it was borderline pornography if you ask me, regardless of the talent behind it."
So when faced with a pornographic sequence, the "porn" element for you is stronger that any talent behind it.
That's what you wrote.
The use of the word "regardless" gives your sentence a certain meaning. You sounded like those film critics who hate horror films and, when faced with a good horror director, the only thing they have to write is "he has talent but why is he doing this shit?". You seem to have a problem with pornography judging from your sentence.
Ah, you also wrote,
"I just find it funny that if this would have just been a clip found on some website then it would be labeled porn, but since it's a mainstream actress masturbating on camera for a well-respected director it's not."
I am not saying the sequence isn't pornographic. I am saying that porn could be art too and in a lot of cases should be appreciated as such, that's all.
Excuse all the spelling mistakes.
