    Hi all,

I have the cult classics dvd edition of laserblast and it looks pretty awful. I know a lot of people hate this movie bit its personally one of my favorites. I Don't think we will ever see a blu ray edition so I was wondering if anyone owns the 88 films dvd edition and if so can they tell me if its PQ us sny better thsn the US dvd?

    Thanks!

A childhood staple/favorite for me thanks to USA networks "Saturday Nightmares". I own that same lousy dvd, the laserdisc & vhs. I myself haven't lost hope on a good quality blu-ray someday. I didn't know about an 88 dvd, I may just have to order that. Not expecting a revelation though.

Sounds like it's pretty much similar to the previous editions. From the 10kbullets review of the 88 Films Laserblast DVD:

I have fond memories of this film. I saw it twice in the theater. Charles Band signed this pressbook for me back in 93.

That movie came and went too fast at my local movie house - nobody would take us kids to the theater that one week - so I didn't see the film until the mid 80's on "Meda" VHS ;)
I always liked it, but it really could have been so much more. The DVD I have is letterboxed but that's about it - I'd love to see this and DAY TIME ENDED completely remastered and 16:9 in proper ratio.

Talk about synergy, today marks the 20 year anniversary of the premiere of the MST3K version!
