I ordered six. Now I need to decide which magical six lasers will be hungup.

    1) Evil Dead 2 - absolutely. Cool cover and it's autographed by Bruce (though I had him make it out to my now-ex - oh well).

    2) AOD - maybe. Autographed by Bruce and made out to me.

    3) Halloween - maybe. Unsure if the Criterion gatefold will fit well into the frame. May try and get the Jap. LD someday - I like the artwork there.

    4) Tales from the Darkside (Japanese LD - eps, not movie) - probably. Cool artwork on these, though I'll probably just hang one.

    5) Sledge Hammer - absoultely. Don't want it to be all horror.

    6) Aliens - Absolutely.

Any other suggestions? I'd like to get Phantasm, but don't have the original. I do have Phantasm IV LD, so maybe I'll hang that.

Those sound sweet, Dave. I've thought about this too and have a tough time deciding.. the Elite remasters with different jacket arts would be cool, like Re-Animator and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

Just outta curiosity, what kind of deal did you get on those frames as I'm looking for a few as well.

If you can find the old full-frame Phantasm release, that had some great cover art.

Roan did a great job with Blood and Black Lace...

I just bought this puppy - Starship Troopers Japanese LD. I'll probably watch the disc once, but generally I watch the Superbit DVD or newer 2-disc SE. Anyway, I bought it soley for the artwork. It's one of my favorite covers out there. I think it's from the teaser poster of Starship Troopers, but I don't think the artwork has been used on any other home video releases, so it's rather unique. Also, for those that aren't familiar with Jap. lasers, the red obi strip on the side of the jacket comes off.

They were expensive, but I ultimately went with the Rock Art Picture show frames. I only got 1 disc frame, since the only disc worth framing is the Evil Dead 2 blood red disc.

I bought a mystery Japanese soft(?) porn LD with a picture of a girl squished in a bottle with full intentions to frame it one day. What's with the Japanese and cool covers? Why do we always get the crap with floating heads?

I also bought Cat in the Brain with that sweet ray beam effect on the cover. If I recalled there's a version of The Bride of Frankenstein with a pretty damn sweet cover as well, I've been tempted to pick that up. Maybe someday I will if I start framing LDs.

I'll post some pics once I have them all framed. Should be another week or two.

that sounds pretty cool. I wouldn't mind getting some and framing my Phantasm series, Evil Dead 1 + 2 and TCM.

I have a few lasers on the wall from LP frames that I got from Michael's. I have up Creepshow & The Dark Half (both signed by King), Return of the Living Dead (signed by Linnea) and Day of the Dead (signed by Taso, Nicotero, Romero & Savini).

You can change that mat color, plus frame color.

I actually gave a friend a Laserdisc of her favorite movie, Before Sunrise, in an LP frame as a Christmas gift . . . and she doesn't even own a Laserdisc player! It's a nice cover though and she loved it!

I've done this for a few of my LDs as well. Like The Princess Bride and L'aldila/The Beyond.

It is a good way to give your lasers some more life.

I'm never going to watch my ED2 laserdisc again, not with the DVD and blu-ray sitting on my shelf. Plus it is autographed. Makes sense to frame it.

But some of my others would work well in frames, too. I'm not going to give the lasers away and there is very little resale value in most of them. I can probably hang 3 or 4 in my living room now. Eventually I will have a house and an HTF room, where I would post a good dozen or so.

My three now would be ED2, Starship Troopers, Halloween (Japanese), and the last is TBD.

Actually, I probably am going to give some of them away just to free up some shelf space and some of the protective covers.

Yes is selled at Michaels store in Canada because I buy some this store before. Is not best quality but is only plastic frames and glass. Frame is size of about a LP to fit. I pt inside this my Iron Maiden LP of first album and also Live After Death. Is sometimes the price I think is usual to be 20 dollars but is sometimes a sale for 12 dollars. Is only to fit LP with 1 disc inside if is 2 is haved to take LP disc out for fitting.
Note this about Michaels because is a big rip off store because they are to change the price when is a sale. For an example if is a poster and is 30 dollars regular priced and is a sale coming for an example 40% off next week. They put a new price in this poster a sticker price on the top the old price so when you go to buy this poster on sale days is now maybe say 40 dollars so is now 40% off 40 dollars. Is happen to me and is make me angry and I confront manager and I tell them to take in this poster to put down the ass is what is deserved and is also to be illegal to do this tricks with price. Basturds! So I never to go back to this store again but my wife go one time back to buy sissors.
