The Machete concept is better than the real thing.

Yeah, a lot of people seems to HATE the Machete in Space idea, but come on, haven´t they seen cult/trash classics like "Starcrash", "Battle Beyond the Stars" etc?
There havn´t been an old school sci-fi exploitation movie since the Corman glory days in the 80:s.
I would LOVE to see Machete nail some hot spacebabes in silver swimsuits and do battle with space mutants etc :D

Don´t take it so damn serious, people!
The world needs more trashy stuff like this, than another silly Avatar on the big screen ;)

Rodriguez says sequel will begin shooting in April

Start yer engines. I have to admit that I didn't make it all the way through the first one, but I will always have a soft spot for these trailers-turned-actual-films.

Wasn't a fan of the first one, which is a shame because I love a lot of Rodriguez's stuff. I thought it worked a lot better as a trailer.

And is it me, or is Rodriguez desperately trying to avoid doing Sin City 2?

Let´s have Willis as the bad guy... he and Rodrigues are great friends so it wouldn´t be too hard... and a cameo by Thurman as The Bride.

You can count me out of this one, because it is obvious this film is going to suffer from the same problems that plagued the original Machete. Too many characters who, most likely, won't have enough to do and over bearing, hamfisted political statements. When will you ever learn Mr. Rodriguez.

I didn't love the first film and this film doesn't look much better. I can't deny though that I'm a little excited to see Mel Gibson working and being a bad ass at that!

Change "best" to "most worrisome" and you got it.:)
I love the first though, even though some parts kinda drag or suck, the rest is so over the top fun I can't help it. Looking forward to Kills despite Gaga.

I was actually being serious. For me the best part of this is that Gaga is in it- I was let down big time by the first film. Yup, I'm obsessed with Lady Gaga- let the flaming begin!

This should be pretty good - on par with the first one. Btw, has there been any word on a release of an Unrated version of the first movie?

Just got back from this and can't really recommend it. There were several things in the film I enjoyed and lots of actors but the film just seemed to go on forever. It felt like 10 different directors worked on the movie and then tried to piece it all together.
