The love scene is made even better when you realize that "TP" even has his initials engraved on his belt buckle. You know you are a camp counsellor that commands authority when you have your own clothing line. I <3 Madman.

    Sweet mask!

I love this slasher, tacky hot tub scene included. :D Who wants to see a hot tub scene with Marz and Gaylen? Marz needs some lovin' too.

Damn, that mask is very detailed and accurate. I'd love to have one of those!

I've got the AB DVD. Haven't watched it in a while, but after reading some of the QT6 reviews I feel like giving it another spin. Part of its charm is the horrendous acting. Its the perfect cheesy 80's slasher.

Is Madman Marz played by that one guy in the film? A guy in a dual role? He looks like Marz.

That is a good question. He does look like Marz. Good movie BTW.

A guy named Paul Ehlers played Marz but he doesn't seem to have played any other parts in the movie.

  10. Had this flick sitting on my DVR Hard Drive since October and decided to give it a spin Saturday morning! I was pleasantly impressed by the flick. Definitely a Friday The 13th knockoff, but pretty gory and unique in its own right!

Dude, I had to fast forward through that terrible, drawn out love scene! What was it like 5-7 minutes of screen time without any gratuitious shots whatsoever?!?!? Unacceptable!

Still, the level of gore satisfied my tastebuds. Lots of heads gettin' lopped off!

This is not true. You see TP's marvellous belt buckle (any man who wears their name on their belt is a man I respect) as well as excessive shots of his naked ass. Not the kind of nudity most of us are looking for, but it's there nonetheless. The real question though, is what makes them spin around in circles in the hot tub? Is it the current, or are they just dizzy with love? One of life's big questions.

  12. Oh man! U made me laugh with that comment! I guess it was one of those surpressed memories...I totally forgot about TP's naked ass!!!

Just watched this for the first time today and I was a bit let down. It wasn't as violent or gory as made out to be and the acting was atrocious. And if you ask me, the cheese was a bit too moldy on this one to enjoy.

<-- currently has "LORE OF THE CAMPFIRE" as his ringtone. Of all the planets in the sky, there is none better than Marz.

Hahah, yeah. I'm not saying a movie has to be violent or gory to be good. It's just on the back of the case for Madman it said "sheer nastiness" and it had none of that in my opinion.

Good to hear it was from the back of the case. I was afraid someone here had given you the impression that it was gory or well acted, when it is not known for either. It's more known for the cheese, the music, and of course, the love.

Onebyone also owns a collection of belt buckles with "TP" engraved atop.

MADMAN is one of the best slashers of all time. Any argument otherwise is sheer blasphemy. Let the argument end here. Madman kicks ass!

Madman Marz is one scary mo-fo. His sequences are handled nicely - especially the figure up in the trees.
I noticed, for me, that the villians in horror films who are introduced as some sort of "legend" or campfire story have been the most effective. You know just enough to be scared of it and the potential victims. When you know too much about a killer...it just doesn't work for me. I don't want to EVER sympathize with the lead monster in a film.
