imo 5 dolls was a big letdown. then again i read that bava despised this film.
Neither did I. But it certainly needs one.
Wow...didn't know that. I have the Elite versions of those two movies, and never felt the need to re-buy. Guess i made the right decision, so far. This new box set may change that.
And I like Five Dolls a lot too.
ooooh yeah - to thyne eyes, the DVD of Baron Blood looked too "mosquito-y". I'm all about Five Dolls, as well.
The only thing about the original Image releases is they have those nice Tim Lucas liner notes. I'm not so sure if the Anchor Bay releases have those?
Black Sabbath and Black Sunday separately?????? Will these releases be the same as the box set ones? Anchor Bay's site states they will have english audio. Hmmmm
does anyone know the answer to the last question
If this helps, I picked up these Anchor Bay trading cards at their table at Monstemania:
So Black Sunday will have english audio but not Sabbath?!?! Why didn't AB put these versions in the Bava Box Vol. 1!? rrrrrggggggggggggg...
*getting panties in a bunch*
Who said these were getting english audio?
Where does it state this? If they actually did do that with individual releases, my opinion of AB would turn a little sour.
Look up one post. In the last paragraph on the cards. I think someone also said it says it on Anchor Bay's site.
Probably just another mix up, like when it was thought the releases in vol. 1 had English audio, and then they changed it like a week before they were released. If they do somehow have them now though, they should definitely offer disc replacements to people who already bought the sets. Anchor Bay is usually pretty good with that kind of stuff.
What's everyone's problem here?Black Sunday has always been in English (only the Italian disc has Italian audio IIRC) and Black Sabbath in Italian.
If you just learn to read...:
"...this presentation of Bava's uncut and uncensored International Version features the original Italian score and English dubbing...."
(Edit:This version of Black Sunday will have the scene missing which is included in the Italian print I think, thus making it not uncut, technically)
'...this presentation of Bava's Original uncut International Version features the original score and Italian dubbing..."
 Well, I did ask where it stated this since I couldn't see it anywhere. And quite obviously it doesn't state that.
Its in my post with the trading cards I believe.
Hopefully The Girl Who Knew Too Much will also be sold separately.
Just bring on Twitch of the Death Nerve. That's all I want.
Check this out:
Looks like they have added KIDNAPPED. Great, since I never got the disc when it first came out.
Damnit, I just bought Kidnapped after the Volume 1 release. I'm hoping that its just the Kidnapped cut and not Rabid Dogs so that my purchase will have some sort of justification.
Ugh, that's unfortunate about Kidnapped. It's nice to have it tossed in generally, but as we had no indication of that happening it bites.
Why not I Vampiri or Hatchet instead? Those are the only two remaining Image releases IIRC.
Never mind,it's cheap and I already placed my preorder
I think so,otherwise the other release would be of no value at all.
