If there are only 500 copies then why do they allow people to order 2 copies? A limit of 1 very well may have not have made any difference as far as me being able to order The Fox with the Velvet Tail since I didn’t know about the pre-order going live until evening when it was already sold out but I just can't imagine any good reason why someone would feel the need to order more than 1 copy even though I would bet that there were surely those that did.

I kinda wish it was 1 per, not 1 and then 1 to sell on eBay. But they are in the game of selling these, too.

I only needed one each, and only bought one each (Fox and Spider).

I thought the DVD for Countess Perverse was really good quality and that got a blu upgrade.

You're not alone in that opinion...

...but I suspect the elements for those films are in much better shape than what they currently have for Lorna the Exorcist.

I got my Inquisition blu in the mail yesterday, and was able to watch about half of it this morning. I think it looks great.

I watched it a night ago. After the credits it looks great. Only one ripped frame that I caught but otherwise beautiful.

It is a very nice transfer. A few scenes were soft but no one can complain about a 40 year old film that looks this good.

    DVDBeaver reviews Inquisition: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film6/blu-ray_reviews_76/inquisition_blu-ray.htm

"Inquisition has a decent image quality on Blu-ray from Mondo Macabro - largely due to the condition of the source material as well as the competent, single-layered, 1080P transfer. It's clean with only a handful of visible scratches, has a touch of softness but generally the visuals are bright, colorful, and carry depth. There is minor waxiness obscuring grain but I don't feel digitization efforts were applied. I suspect that this is probably as good as we may see it on Blu-ray. Without zooming in abnormally the image is very acceptable in-motion. I think most will be appreciative of the presentation's depth and colors."

    I'll allow it.

    o_O

But then MM said they were holding all pre-orders to ship together, and I've got the Dorado ones on order from them too, so I'll probably be waiting even longer than that. :(

As some one who isn't much of a fan of Witchfinder General, Mark of the Devil, etc., I was surprised how much I enjoyed Inquisition. It has a good story to it and actual witchcraft which seems rather novel in this slice of genre. And it's a terrific first directorial effort from Paul Naschy. Sure he'd been around a bit by that point, but it's even a step up compared to other industry directors.
