Same, grabbed both of those when they first went up earlier yesterday.

I was curious about Castle of the Creeping Flesh, but unsure whether the price warranted a blind buy.

I have the UK Blu-ray of Satan's Blood already, which is pretty solid. I'd be interested in hearing what the quality of the German BD is like though, as I've never heard of the studio releasing it before.

I grabbed Inquistion and Bloody Friday also. Jared at Mondo said they would have more Creeping Flesh later in the year so I'll probably look into it then. I've already spent too much this year already

The new batch was up at almost exactly 3:00. I got my pre-order in. With this and the Scream set, I am finally starting to rebuild my Naschy collection.

I planned on getting Castle as well, but I have no way to play PAL discs.

Is this what you have? It says it's a Region A disc on Amazon UK, which is odd for a UK release. So the quality is good?

If Mondo Macabro has retained or renews the rights for this and Panic Beats for future HD releases, I will be very happy!

I picked up the Dorado films Franco double feature, and the Mondo Macabro Franco Triple Feature, I hope they turn out to be good purchases, I hope they arrive soon, I can't wait to see them. What method of shipping does Mondo Macabro use? I hope it's not media mail that takes so long lol, I can't wait to see these movies, I'll pick up some of the other films later, I might have to wait for Inquisition to make a retail release I didn't have the money to pick up all the releases I wanted at one time, so many movies so little money haha

Castle of Creeping Flesh was back up last night so I picked it up along with a Alucarda shirt for the hell of it. I'm kinda bummed I missed out on a Mondo Macabro shirt in my size so I went for that one. I'm kinda tired of all my t-shirts being black though. You can't get a genre shirt that isn't. :(

The Franco triple feature I received was sent media mail. They are up in Washington state, though it still took nearly a week to reach me in Arizona.

You know I bought the MM logo shirt but have yet to wear it - I'm sure I will - I just wish it wasn't red.

Yes, the quality is quite good. Uncut and includes the Spanish audio track with optional English subs.

    It's actually region free.

I passed on these Dorado releases direct from them... But I'm tempted now to just throw them all in the cart when ordering from MM.

I pre-ordered the Larraz double feature directly from Dorado, but will definitely be getting The Fox with a Velvet Tail.

Watched Castle of the Creeping Flesh and it was almost better at being Franco than Franco (almost ;) Rumor has it Franco wrote the story, which wouldn't surprise me in the least). Much like the Dorado double Franco features it was a slow burner in terms of horror, but this was well padded with rape, group rape, and consensual sex (why not?). What it leans heavily on is atmospherics. This film has what must be the best real castle I've seen of any film. And they made good use of it and its set pieces. What I wasn't anticipating was the use of live surgery footage, and so much of it. Sometimes movies will splice in a few seconds for shock, but reel after reel is spun throughout this baby!

One let down is the ending.
I was expecting Vernon to kill them all in a psychotic vengeance in the mind of his ancestor (like Pit and the Pendulum), but instead he just stabs the Baron once and then walks off. THEE END! With a little different staging of events we could have had all we did get plus a few more kills. And have the Baron do like a cage match of a bear with Vernon gleefully watching! So that is disappointing.

Even still this will become something of a guilty pleasure of mine for sure.

Isn't Mondo Digital one of the more respected review sites around today? Surely they would point out if a Blu-ray is bathed in DNR or is otherwise screwed up in some form? Someone on Blu-ray.com is already making waves about Inquisition looking as bad as Predator Ultimate Hunter Edition! My copy is due to arrive today but now I'm not as eager to tear into it based on this.

Something egregious would probably would have popped up in the review. And I can't remember DNR being an issue with any MM release, though someone else might know better than I.

Based on how often people here take jabs at blu-ray.com for being anal-retentive and overly critical, maybe take these early complaints of DNR with a grain of salt. Haven't read the posts in question, though...
