He got to sing his own songs, at least. Right.
I've never seen this film, but I think I will blind buy it. Sounds like a fun ride.

Actually- it's extraordinarily downbeat the entire time.

Wow, that site is a nightmare to read! Someone needs to upgrade from the Geocities style guide!
I can't believe anyone would compare a professional company like Kino to a bootleg factory like Substance/Jef.
my indie store got this in today for Tuesday i'll probably go pick it up then.i never seen the film but remember seeing the big box vhs when I was a kid in video stores
does this also release on DVD?
Yes, it comes out on Blu-ray, and a separate DVD release on the same day.
Kino totally rules that way. (Too bad they didn't release Ghost Town!!!)
Bought it today and am watching it right now. A film like this has no business looking this great. Love it!
Wait 'til you get halfway through. There's a big storm coming!
That's just because that link is a mobile version of the page. This url shows the page properly: http://www.dvdexotica.com/2016/03/beware-monster-dog-from-scorpion-kino.html
You know you could buy a blu-ray player for pretty cheap so you could enjoy your beloved Ghost Town, DVD Fan 9.
Trust me I was just like you until last year. I wanted NOTHING to do with HD. But stuff I wanted was only getting a HD release and I finally caved in...and haven't looked back.
I know we've had our issues but I recommend getting a blu-ray player because not everyone is going to be like Kino.
It's time to upgrade to HD-Fanatic-50G.
I had a reasonable (not compared to some) sized DVD collection. When Blu Ray won the format war I sold off everything DVD except for the rarities and bet on re-issues of everything in HD which, slowly, has happened. And for the most part some of the new HD versions simply BLOW away their old DVD counterparts, not only in resolution (which is obvious) but the new transfers are stunning upgrades, many of them.
