    Nope, nothing's been added there.

Same opening, someone just tweaked with the other video using something like Final Cut Pro. They added dirt and scratch marks to the Paramount logo, too. (I don't know why, but there's a lot of dumb shit on YouTube.)

i dont see anything new at all, though why does the film go from nice, cleaned up print to washed out w/ a lot of grain print???

Final Cut Pro (or a similar movie editing program). Someone edited the video to make it look that way.

  4. Anyone else curious as to why Lionsgate/Paramount have teamed up for some releases??

Considering the condition of the censored footage,it would have been cool to see at least a second version of the film with the pops and scratches throughout ..the gore footage would meld that much better, and they could have the sharply-restored version with cut scene capabilites also, and drop the theatrical cut altogether.Aside from violence comparison,it occupies unnecessary disc space, and most own the R-Rated Paramount travesty anyway should they decide to revisit it in its truncated form.

Still no Rue Morgue in any local shops in Michigan. The cover on the website looks great too.

The article was definitely decent,(got it yesterday) with extra-large glossies of one or two of the kills, but it doesn't exactly shed much light on the production that we weren't aware of. I wish Fango had done a retrospective on the film like they did for Happy Birthday To Me a few issues ago, their articles are more interestingly written.

Hmmm... well the reviewer wasn't exactly a fan.

Pretty disappointing on the extras. Looks like very little besides the extra scenes - but who cares?? It's the extra bits that makes this release what it is! Gotta admit I'm pretty excited.

DVDtalk sucks cock when it comes to horror reviews. They're reviews are about as useful as retard flying and airplane.

My co-worker is an intern at Rue-Morgue mag and will probably have the new issue when I come into work tomorrow. I'll let y'all know if there's anything juicy within.

Ok that sounded very wrong, but you know what I mean.

Yeah, I agree. I saw the new Rue Morgue out several days ago at Hastings. And as you said, what there was printed regarding the original film, we basically already know. There was more about the remake than the original really.

Still, a great 'zine, but they should take tips from HorrorHound 'zine for worthy retrospectives of classic films.

Can't find the new Rue Morgue in any shops in Saint Louis, either.

I totally agree. Nobody does retrospectives better than Horrorhound. Even when they have similar stories to Rue Morgue they are always far better. I greatly preferred the Horrorhound Pumpkinhead and History of 3-D in Horror retrospectives over the Rue Morgue counterparts.

well, someone who got a hold of the disc early decided to post a few of the uncut scenes up on youtube. however, they are clearly recorded from the tv and have no sound, but still cool to see.

Wow....Mable's death...wow. I'm really excited for this. (And the ending is way more powerful than before.)

Wow.... THAT'S what was cut? Pussy MPAA... I mean seriously, those scenes (those 3 anyways) are nowhere near as vicious as I thought. So Mable flops around a couple times... Ugh.

LOL and no I'm not complaining, I'm still completely ecstatic that this film is now uncut... I just wish there was a way to punish the fuckers at the MPAA for being such over-sensitive pieces of shit.

I liked Mable's death, but the opening one? WTF WAS THAT? Why would they cut that out!? Fucking retards. (I'm looking at you, Jack Valenti.)

I like how the ending shows a sensitive moment with Sarah... and the arm grab lol. Adds quite a bit more depth to the scene.

And ya, the opening death... that gore shot was only on there for like a split second... WTF?! There should be laws that punish people for tampering with art, no matter how long ago they did it. Just how there were STILL Nazis being rounded up and arrested in the past few decades, regardless of how old they are.
