im sure you'll get it! trust me, its worth the wait!
I bought my copy of the DVD on Friday before going to see the remake. The DVD absolutely met my expectations. Our demands for an uncut version paid off in a big way. If I remember correctly it was here that the petition that some of us signed multiple times to Lionsgate started, so I just want to thank and congratulate everyone. We did it, and I have never before seen something like that happen.
I know, I'm just impatient.
Seeing as we're on the subject of waiting, I thought I'd mention the Friday the 13th remake. Australia doesn't get it till March the 12th. That made me mad.
I wonder who made that.
yeah, i remember, we were all rapidly sending Lionsgate emails, starting petitions to them!
Amen to that! that just goes to show how devoted fans are to My Bloody Valentine!
It's cropped plain and simple. When you watch the title of the film come up you cannot see the company's name in the bottom right corner completely. I'm just going by that and the guys earlier screenshots, not complaining, just pointing it out as people were saying he was wrong and if the original dvd release was the aspect ratio Matt said there would have been more chopped off at the top and bottom of the screen on the Paramount release rather than the new dvd.
Correct, but it's not.
All the reviews for the new dvd sound great , but because I own the first dvd release. I will wait until this new release goes on sale.
I guarantee they will have some sort of deal when the new 3-D version comes out on dvd. I waited all this time, a few more months aren't gonna kill me. No way in hell I'm paying over $9 for this dvd re-release.
HMV has it 2 for $25. It's more then $9, but $12.50 isn't bad for one of the best slashers uncut!
That's not bad but you & I know this movie will be going for under $10 in no time. Like I said I waited this long. Plus , if I never bought the first release but that's not the case.
$10 something shipped at DeepDiscount right now during their big Lionsgate DVD sale. Absolutely NO reason not to pick it up, at such a great price!
Because of the sale, MBV is actually the #2 bestselling title at DD right now!
Might have to cave in at that deal.
Crap!! I just ordered it at Amazon a few days ago!
Who cares, it's well worth $14. I'm content :glasses:
This is a completely different movie uncut by the way, well worth the double dip. Not to mention, buying it supports further uncut releases. They gave us what we wanted; plain and simple.
This is not just a re-release, the fucking movie is finally uncut for the first time ever!:eek2:
Question: Is the 1981 trailer on this DVD? Just wondering.
Found it at Walmart for $13. Not the cheapest deal I see from other people's posts, but perfectly acceptable, IMO.
Picked it up at HMV for 2 for $25. Looks like they ordered lots of copies which was nice to see! Also nice to see that Future Shop only had one copy left, even though they had a big spot for it on their new release shelf. Must be continuing to sell well. Hopefully this means companies will start to realize that there is an audience for the horror market with more special editions and unrated cuts in the future.
I know this has been said before, (they could've recorded an audio commentary), well i was thinking, if u look at how many cast/crew people they had that were featured on this release, the could've recorded at least two Audio commentaries. One with Director, producer(s), & effects man. the other with the cast (they had at least 6 people)
