Did anyone watch this gem today? I just got done watching it.Great little flick, not much atmosphere but the characters are likeable and it can be creepy at time with the miners apparatus and all.Im happy with the dvd that we have now but wouldnt be awesome if Paramount released a uncut special edition? Oh well guys be My Bloody Valentine.

My Bloody Valentine is much better. Valentine is in that same realm as Urban I Know What You Did Last Scream.

Well to be honest it isnt a high quality horror flick- more of a hollywood horror by the numbers with a bunch of pretty people in it type of movie- more generic than scream- so with that said though I still enjoy it partly because of the really hot women in it and I like David Boreanz because im a huge buffy and angel fan; and because I know not to take it very seriously as a movie- so while its not technically good it can still enjoyable- its kind of a guilty pleasure of mine along with I know what you did last summer and the craft

And I just found out the brewery is about 2 miles from where I work. Might be time to get a growler filled...

Gotta love a brewery that makes a "My Bloody Valentine Ale" and "Evil Dead Red", and called their anniversary brew "Dead by Dawn".

Hell yes, I did. Watching "My Bloody Valentine" every Valentines Day has been a tradition for me for many years now. And I really need to print a replacement cover because the cover art on the DVD just sucks and it makes me sick everytime I look at it. Thanks Paramount.

I just read at http://www.rareoopdvds.com/ that the DVD of My Bloody Valentine is now out of print. Amazon still has copies, but it says it'll take 1 to 3 weeks to ship. I'm not going to rush out to get this though because 1. I haven't seen the movie yet and 2. It'll most likely be reissued when the remake comes out in 2009.

I was reading about this movie after I made my last comment and got really interested in seeing it. I read that Tarantino considers it the best slasher movie ever and the plot sounded good so I went to rent it. It was checked out from the video store so I went to FYE and they had some for sale for $10. I picked up a copy so if I like it I have one and if I don't I can hold onto it for awhile and then sell it.

One of the great early 80's slashers. This gets a lot of crap from some websites but I love this film. There's a lot of atmosphere in this one and a great cast.

    I liked this slasher.
Its death scenes were somewhat enjoyable.
    The killer was very creepy.

As far as I know, the DVD hasn't gone out of print.
I ordered mine from my local video store for only $11.95.

  19. I love My Bloody Valentine. Very terrific and creepy atmosphere with the tunnels and whatnot. The characters are enjoyable too. Valentine is definitely a guilty pleasure seeing as that it's not really a good movie, but still fun to watch. In a beat down, thought, My Bloody Valentine would conquer.
