Salem's Lot was boring. Even James Mason seemed bored.

I suppose if you're at a Mets game you have a lot of other things to talk about!

So Dolores Claiborne, Tremors, Ticks and Starship Troopers are better horror films than TCM, The Exorcist, The Evil Dead, Alien, Black Christmas, Suspiria, The Shining and Carrie. Hmm.. Did not know that.

I used to think that as well but I was wrong. Salem's Lot is alright but it sinks like the Titanic in the last hour. The first hour is fantastic, though.

    He improved Child's Play.

I can't say I fully agree with a lot of the choices on your worst list, but your best list isn't too bad, although my order would be much much different.

I don't know about Return of the King and District 9 being horror films though. Definitely more fantasy and Sci-Fi to me. Even Darkman I would say is more comic book action flick then horror. And I definitely can't support Scary Movie, Freddy vs Jason or the Halloween 2 (Remake) being on any best of list. But hey, it's your list not mine so thanks for posting it. It was an interesting read either way.
