I can definitely confirm that it is not rights issues. When I asked about the repeated delays they told me that there should be no further delays. The August 25th date I posted was taken from their distributor’s website. When I double checked on that date they told me that at this moment they have no firm release date. Delays happen all the time in the DVD business. There is nothing to worry about. The DVD is done and it is coming out, just later than sooner.
Has Mya ever made their original release date yet? From what I can recall Four Flies and Horrible each had their release dates pushed back at least once or more.
about Horrible... i got it today! i don't know how to put it (off topic a bit), but the back cover of the Horrible DVD reminds me somehow of cheap '80s back covers, which is a plus, if only they would use the original front cover art (or poster art)
Here are the sells sheets / ads for the January 2010 Mya DVD releases. Blade of the Ripper Sex Advice Desirable Teacher Satan’s Wife
I'm looking forward to their Nov. release of Human Cobras. I've been told not to expect much from this movie but it sounds cool, it was actually news of this release that stopped me from buying a copy from VSOM not too long ago.
that Satan's Wife looks damned fine! Blade Of The Ripper seems to be an alternative title for The Strange Vice Of Ms. Wardth, already have that one from No Shame
Blade of the Ripper is indeed Mertino's Wardh. I wonder if it will have English subs... It's best viewed in Italian IMO.
I want Evil Face, with Klaus Kinski. Though that name EF is apparently the first time it's being used ever for that film.
Yeah, anyone know anything about Evil Face or Lucifera: Demon Lover? Those are the two I'm most interested in at the moment.
No clue on EF Novo, but Lucifera...I tracked down a youtube clip: ... Oh wait, now I can't find it. Maybe it was all an illusion! Oh well. Guess I will just bling buy it anyways, like I do with almost EVERYTHING.
For some stupid reason I convinced myself I was going to be a Joe D'amato completist and so I bought Provocation, another Mya release. So. Fucking. Bad. I nearly cried.
Lucifera: http://10kbullets.com/reviews/l/lucifera-demonlover/ Actually I'm glad with MYA's quality. This way I can spend my money on other things... Edit: Damn, even that Youtube clip looked better!
Not true, that YouTube clip looks a lot worse than the transfer for Mya's DVD release. Out of all the titles they have released this is one that you were sort of interested in? What no love for the Lamberto Bava films released by Mya?
I have had similar experiences will all of Joe D’Amato’s soft score films from the 1990’s. Seeing that you didn’t enjoy Provocation, you should really loathe Top Girl.
Which have been released here years ago and are not at the top of my wishlist. Sure I'm interested, but not for now.
