Oliver Krekel is basically the german answer to Bill Olsen, except a bit more crazy perhaps?
Bill at least has some common sense, and actually puts out (mostly) quality releases. Krekel has absolutely no common sense, and only puts out shit... and he truly believes his shit doesn't stink.
I think it's more that Bill is too cheap to pay for DNR and EE.
He can pay for lossless audio at least. Krekel "can't hear any difference" – that guy is as deaf as he is blind.
Should I avoid this release of Split Second?
Looks like a Nemesis Bundle is on the way. I'm still rockin the VHS so I might be tempted to upgrade if it gets cheap.
I have the release it's as good as it'll get. 101's will just be a port at best.
It hasn't been released yet, so I don't know. But it's a Krekel transfer, so something is bound to be horrible about it. I have yet to see the dude ever do a proper HD transfer for anything.
And the Nemesis set I mentioned above will also be the Krekel transfers.
If the Uk version is the same print as the German then I say that you should get the German version because it has much more content. The Uk version only lists 4 discs and the track record for 101 films is not the best when it comes to extras.
There is audio sync problems on the German version. You can find more information about it here - http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=230906&highlight=nemesis+sync&page=24
Is it just me or what the hell was the point of Nemesis 4? It's the only Nemesis film that doesn't feel or look cyborgish. I sincerely don't dislike it I just don't understand it at all.
