Well, I preordered this disc a couple weeks in advance, and still didn't get my copy till just last week. Which is a good thing - this disc seems to be selling really well.

Wow, I gotta say, as far as SOV horror goes, SLEDGEHAMMER does have a damn fine eerie atmosphere. The hazy look perfectly compliments the action on screen. 'Fever dream' is an apt descripton indeed. This one has aged well, and was more enjoyable than when I watched years ago. This movie has one of the creepiest hallways in all of horror...

When the dvd starts, the Intervision and Copyright warnings come on the screen in a warbly vhs style, similar to a well-played vhs tape. This was a very nice touch, a warm feeling of nostalgia washed over me. I haven't even dove into the copious extra features yet. I will definitely be buying upcoming Intervision titles.

I haven't seen the Jeffrey Dahmer: a Secret Life flick since the video release in 94.

Things will be released on Tuesday. DVDBeaver review is up.

On some sites I'm seeing two versions of this, one at $19.99 and another at $32.99. Does anyone know the difference? Does the more expensive one include the VHS or something?

I think the more expensive one is the Canadian release, as it was released last year.

The very limited Canadian release (19 and a Half Anniversary Edition) was actually released back in 2008.

and both with commentaries by John D. Lamond and Mark Hartley, nice. I've been loving catching up on the whole Ozploitation scene ever since seeing Not Quite Hollywood, and while the sex films in NQH were not the ones i was the most interested in seeing, i'd still be happy to check out a few of them, so its very likely i'll pick these up at some point.

Intervision has just released two of Bruno Mattei's cheesy cannibal flicks: 'Mondo Cannibal' and 'In the land of the cannibals'. The covers state 4:3 Fullscreen for both movies. All the previous editions of these movies (e.g. Japanese) were anamorph 16:9. Is this a mistake on the cover or are the movies actually only full frame on the intervision DVDs?

On January 10th, InterVision is releasing a Don Jones (The Forest, The Love Butcher, Schoolgirls In Chains) double feature DVD of Murderlust and Project Nightmare. Currently only $11.99 at DeepDiscount, plus there's a 15 percent coupon right now. I just preordered it.

I remember the VHS of Murderlust from Prism, but never got around to seeing it. Loved just about everything Prism has released, so it will be nice to fill the gap in my slasher collection.

Unless only an SD master is all that exists, I just won't buy DVDs anymore.

That is the case here. Sourced from one-inch video masters due to lack of film elements.

Murderlust is also an uncut version, running longer than the original Prism VHS. Both films also include audio commentary from the writer / producer.
