Plot of Fear/E Tanta Paura by Paolo Cavara (Black Belly of the Tarantula).
    1976
    English/Italian audio
    English subs
    Anamorphic 1.85:1

    From http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074451/ :

    Any comments?Worth my money?
I still haven't received my Black Belly.. disc so I don't know about Cavara's qualities yet.
But it sounds promising.I hope Raro did a good job since their releases seem to be hit and miss (I heard;I only have one Raro disc).

I think that Raro´s one of the most reliable labels right now, and i would not worry about the print... If it´s up to their usual standards i´ll bet it´s great!

I only have "Perfume of the Lady in Black" which looks stunning.
I haven't bought any other Raro disc (yet). They're pretty expensive (between 20 and 25 Euro inc.P&P) and most of the titles I'm interested in already have (or are having) cheaper R1 releases.
I might pick up some of the Bava titles though. Not sure because they'll be (re-)released too in both R1 and R2 world pretty soon.

Most reviews I've read say it's as good as "Black Belly of the Tarantula" which I'm a big fan of... Can't wait to see this!
I'm waiting to hear more about this new Solange dvd from Italy (I hope it's got english options on top of italian, I never got the Shriek Show dvd so that'd be great) then I think I'll order a bunch of italian dvd's!!!

I'm waiting on the BU edition.

I was going to get the ita. release since it was getting a very good rep and all. But, when BU announced they were going to do it, I thought that I'd for that one.

    Excited.

See what info you can get from the book though.

    Thanks. :)

OK here goes, from "The Book" ;).
Basically this is an unconventional Thriller/Giallo with alot of black humor and enough sleaze/exploitation to satisfy your needs.
There's something about a children's fairytale (the story is written by the same man who wrote Deep Red) and social comments thrown in.
Then there's some comical scenes described and a comparison is drawn between this and his other Giallo Black Belly. What I gather from the tiny review is that they're both equally as good and the humor is the "only" difference.

    Still interested?I am! :D.

    Enjoyable Giallo and stylish too.
    Corinne Clery is gorgeous...:)

Anyway,I found this on the net.Only of interest to those who've seen the movie I guess :):
I never thought it would actually be an existing story  .Written by Heinrich Hoffmann ...

Black Belly of the Tarantula has been out Stateside for over two years now thanks to Blue Underground. Fun flick, good giallo.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to E Tanta Paura and not Black Belly.
There's no sign of a R1 release by BU or any other company. But you never know what will happen in the future right?
