Two new Godzilla DVD's come out this Tuesday. I picked them up almost a week early at Best Buy.
    first is
Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster which looks fantastic in full widescreen! Beautiful transfer and color.
also out is Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla 2, which happens to be one of the better films of the new series.

Now I'm wishing for Godzilla Vs. Megalon and King Kong Vs. Godzilla!

Looking forward to these DVDs for sure! I hear ya on Megalon and hope that Godzilla vs Monster Zero sees a re-release this year. (I have all the other Simitar titles but that one is damn near impossible to find.)

I Wish Godzilla 1985 Would Get A Special Edition Dvd Release

All of these releases are too frustrating... I wish they would just come out with a definitive boxset that I can save up for without having to worry about pan and scan or dubbing issues.

no boxset will ever happen in the US. the rights are spread out over various companies. the only boxset you will find is the Final Boxset put out by Toho (which retails around $900).

The new releases are amazing. The transfers are great and I never thought these movies would be released with original Japanese audio. A box set would be nice, but these individual movies a worth it. Just get the new Sony releases, they're all anamorphic widescreen and have original Japanese language with English subtitles. I'm hoping this is just the beginning and some of the older movies will get re-released like “Godzilla Vs King Kong” & “Destroy all Monsters”.

    Are these uncut?

You know there that they were edited for the Amercian market besides the bad dubbing.

I had heard that three sets of the new American releases were coming out, mixing the newly issued, remastered ,uncut vintage dvds with the older 90's film dvds that had already been issued.I also heard that each of these sets is saddled with the American GODZILLA film, the Mathew Broderick thing.

Sea monster is uncut, however MG2 is still the same US edit.

THEY WON'T RELEASE IT CAUSE ANOTHER COMPANY OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THIS, TOHO HAS STATED THIS IN THE PAST.

    lol

Speaking of G, i got GvsMG2 in the mail today, and the dvd quality isn't as bad as some make it out to be. sure it's not as sharp as the other recent sony dvds, but some people would make you believe it's horrible while actually it's quite decent.
