Many sites are already showing that the Nightmare Before Christmas Ultimate Edition which features a slew of extras plus figurines and such are already presold as "Sold Out". I guess ebay will be moving and shaking with all kinds of business from scumbags who bought up all these to turn a huge profit.

Is a film that's less than 20 years old really avaible for "classic" status? Shouldn't this be in the "other films" section as opposed to the "classics" one? Just curious....

I hope Di$ney continues to re-release the 3D version to theaters every October. I've seen it the last two years, and honestly will probably hold off on a home version upgrade as long as that "tradition" continues. If I had extra cash though, I'd probably spring for that Ultimate Gift Set for the collectibility / coolness factor.

I just found out about the insane version with the bust. That's fuckin' awesome! One of the coolest movies ever. I wish I had the money to waste on that.

The Blu Ray does look fantastic. At any point you can pause the movie and almost be compelled to reach in and grab the characters. Very clear, almost to the point that it destroys the illusion, but always straddles on dreamlike.

I can't help but laugh that this was posted in the classic section. Someone at a party last night called Pitch Black "a really old movie." It was released in 2000.

Yeah but the poster will have the last laugh when twenty years from now you can't buy it from Amazon and it really will be considered a classic by then.
