Wow! Sold out already. Was it limited to 1000 copies? I didn't see the info on the site. Thanks for the heads up on this Katatonia.

It was rumors initially, but Zavvi sent out an email earlier confirming that it was limited to 1,000.

Zavvi already put the "SOLD OUT" message on it once before a few hours ago today, and then it went live again, so it could possibly be available again.

Is Sony going to release Fright Night in the U.S.?? I just picked up the Sony release of Christine yesterday.

Great! I was waiting for this version. Plus these abridged versions of the extra long docs are a hell of a lot more palatable. I tried watching the Hellraiser full length one and turned it off. But the trimmed down version on the Arrow BD is a lot better imo.

I didn't realize that the commentaries on the TT 30th anniversary release were just ports of the pirate commentaries recorded and posted online by icons of fright. I wish it included the full length documentary, but it still seems like the Eureka release is the best available on all fronts.

Why dont you import one of the European Sony release's or get a region free player and pick up the Eureka special edition?

The Eureka release is region free, so there is no excuse!

I have the original Twilight Time release. I'm assumig I should get the Eureka disc.

I recently picked up the new UK Body Double blu-ray at Monster Mania for $25 and then was able to sell my TT disc for $40. Upgraded and made a profit!

I'm hoping that Arrow gets the licensing next.

So what's the consensus here about the Eureka disc? It's reportedly region free and currently $16.88 (factoring in shipping to the states) on Amazon.co.uk so needless to say it was a no-brainer. A quick search of reviews online seem to give it a general thumbs up so I just wanted to know what members here had to say about it. Because you're the only ones that matter. ;)

The encode on the Eureka release is superior to either of the Twilight Time Blu-ray releases. Same exact transfer, just a superior encode.

It is missing some of the extra features on the 30th Anniversary TT release, but adds other features which the TT release lacks – notably an edited version of the "You're So Cool, Brewster!: The Story of Fright Night" documentary.

Did you snag the Eureka? I'm totally with you on the TT hate.

Yes it's a great release, definitely worth purchasing. And it is region free (for both blu and DVD)
