I have both of those Arrow releases & highly recommend each one. Arrow's release of Coffy has a brand new interview with Pam Grier. First time I can think of that she has participated in any bonus materials. Great interview too.
I did. I thought it looked perfectly fine, but not mind blowing. Pretty much the norm for Olive's MGM releases. I would imagine it's sourced from the same HD master used for the 2007 MGM DVD and Showtime's HDTV airings. Fortunately, there's lots of colors, neon, and '90s dayglo fashion to give the movie a bit of a visual pop. If you're a fan of the film, I'd say go for it, especially if you missed out on the OOP MGM DVD. The disc will surely get a lot of play from me, as it's a fun movie to have on in the background, where you look up every once in a while and there's usually something fun to chuckle at. Only extra is the trailer, but I'm grateful that Olive included it. They haven't even been bothering with trailers on quite a few of their recent releases (BioDome and Night Game come to mind).
Looks like last American virgin got scratched, its unavaible now on amazon. Quess I will just go for the arrow version once a get a region free player.

I think it's just an Amazon issue. I've noticed quite a few future releases went to "Currently unavailable" over the last few days -- ROAR, POLICE STORY: LOCKDOWN, LAST AMERICAN VIRGIN, etc. I imagine they'll be fixed in a few weeks. That said, the Arrow disc is excellent with a ton of extras, so if you're a fan of the movie it's probably the preferable edition, regardless.
Did anyone here pick up a copy of LATE FOR DINNER? This one seems to have been totally forgotten since none of the boards I frequent talks about the film. I just watched my copy and really enjoyed the film - it was a worthy blind buy. Kind of an oddball film to be sure but still very enjoyable and sweet. EDIT: Oops, just realized this is a Kino release. My bad.

wow, didn't know about student bodies... I hope last American virgin uses a good transfer and reinsert the human league song that was taken out of the dvd and arrow Blu-ray and I will forgive this artwork above..
You can probably still buy STUDENT BODIES as a double bill on Blu with JEKYLL/HYDE...TOGETHER AGAIN from Legend as you can still pick it up, probably cheaper than what Olive wants
I'm guessing the film never had decent art to begin with. The "vagina"/zipper-down art is what's on the Arrow release - Olive just replaced the shot of the cast with the film's title. Lazy.
