Hell yeah! $25??? I'm goin' to Suncoast ASAP! Thanks for the idea!
Well I went to samgoody today (which is owned by the same company as suncoast)n and they said they could'nt exchange my moonlighting because the upc was different from that in their system. Should I still try suncoast? I'm guessing it will be the same story, maybe that one guy was lucky?h
killit give it a shot....they may suprise you
Your'e right, I'll give it a shot.
I'll be doing the same if / when it arrives.
I got my wacky "Moonlighting" DVD in the car & am taking it to Suncoast today to try to exchange it for some credit! I'll let everyone know if I succeeded no later than Monday!
Please let us know Peter. I plan on doing the same if mine ever shows up.
Just to let ya'll know...I took my Moonlighting to both Tower and Suncoast. Tower could not do it cause it was not in their inventory. Suncoast told me that lots of people are trying to get something for it but they were told not to take it. Lucky for me, the sweet girl that worked there said she would give me store credit but after me...nobody else!! I guess if these two places will not do it....go to Best Buys.
The Truth behind the Moonlighting DVD
It was not a freebie per say, they used the Moonlighting DVD as packing material so the Opera DVD would not get damaged.
I got my Opera replacement disk. Took long enough. Yep, got the Moonlighting disk too. I figured that their was some hidden motive to package this disk like this. I got a good reason to think that my local Suncoast will take back my Moonlighting copy. I am going to get some $$$ off the Bad Taste movie. I figure if I buy one of Suncoast's movies and trade in Moonlighting then it will be all good. Woo-hoo!
Happy to report that my Opera replacement worked flawless. The Daemonia video was a neat added extra too. The last scene was a little bit of a disappointment as it was kinda anti climatic...(this is my first viewing of this movie). But the rest of the movie was progressive and very entertaining. The 36 minute behind the scenes was a good history lesson of the movie's origins too.
Here is the top Argento movies that I own so far:
1. Suspiria (LE)
2. Inferno (Vol. 1)
3. Demons (Vol. 2)
4. Phenomena (Vol. 1)
5. Opera (LE)
6. Demons 2 (Vol. 2)
7. Tenebrae (Vol. 3)
8. Deep Red (Vol. 3)
thank god my replacement works great also...
This was my 1st time seeing Opera too! Good flick! Ending wuz I-Ight! I thought the main actress (i forget her name) was SUCH a hotty! The 30 minute documentary said they casted her from Spain (so she's Spanish....YUMMY!)
So watcha gonna do with your Moonlighting thrashard? I'm pickin' up Planet Of The Apes right after work at Suncoast! Not a bad trade-in....wouldn't ya say?
So you did illegally request a replacement!
Shame Peter, Shame.
You should be forced to watch the Moonlighting pilot repeatedly strapped to a chair with your eyelids taped open and endure the horror that is Cybill Shepard's acting.
I, much like you Peter, decided to get Planet of the Apes. Suncoast has a great selection but I couldnt find anything that really stood out.
I think I'm gonna head down to Best Buy and switch my Moon disk for the Bad Taste LE. I'm considering get some Fulci DVDs and Re-Animator from Borders.
As far as the Apes movie...I think I'll rent it first...not a big fan of the original movie.
Tenebre and Deep Red are at the bottom of the list? There is something "unclean" about that .
Yes, quite unclean . Here's mine:
1. Suspiria LE
2. Bird with the Crystal Plumage
3. Deep Red
5. Cat O' Nine Tales
7. The Stendhal Syndrome
11. Demons 2
Now see that's the "clean" list . YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!!
(Just kidding, everyone has an opinion .)
What Phenomena #9?
3. Deep Red
5. Bird with the Crystal Plumage
6. Stendhal Syndrome
7. Four Flies on Grey Velvet
8. Cat O'nine Tails
I still wanna check out Argento's Bird, Cat and 4 Flies movies.
