Not long ago I revisited the first OUIJA and although nothing particularly special. It was a serviceable 90 mins enjoyed with the kids.

The trailer to the sequel has just hit. I think it looks like it has potential. What do you all think?

The first one had its moments, but was a little lame overall.

Mike Flanagan (Absentia, Oculus, Hush, Before I Wake) is directing this sequel, so that definitely piques my interest.

Ouija was definitely a lame duck but this one has the potential to be better.

I hated Absentia but have really grown to love Flanagan's work. I hope he (or Adam Wingard) get the job of directing that new Halloween reboot.

Has some promise. The first was ok, but very typical. I like the 50's-60's era vibe and kids are creepy.

I was into it (and hoping it would be a replacement for Lucky McKee's painfully awful The Woods) until the Last Exorcism 2 / Exorcism of Emily Rose crackbodybending and the slingshot bit.

Why are they still making movies about possessed little girls, though? Why are they still making possession movies? I just said about 2 and a half years ago that this trend had hit its fucking cut the shit zenith. How can we really continue to rag on zombies when this thing has been going on since at least 2004? At least.

    Oh yeah, and Oculus super-sucked.

Looks pretty decent. I didn't think the first Ouija was too bad. Not a masterpiece, but it was fun. This looks creepy. I will go to see it. Not many horror films making directly into theaters so I'm game.

That's the best trailer I've seen yet for this film. I didn't realize it was a sequel. Would love to own some of the period cars that they show in the trailer.

I'm going to wait for some reviews from you guys before I waste another 90 minutes on this burgeoning franchise.

Well, if you're in the mood to go to the theaters this weekend, you got two "horror" choices. THIS...........or BOO A Medea Halloween. I think your choice would be obvious.

Might check out Ouija this weekend........low expectations, few beers...... might get surprised and really enjoy it, we'll see.

Good. Glad to hear it. I think it looks pretty scary. There are some scenes in the trailer that freak me out.

I've heard both ways, but "wee-gee" seems to be mainly a North American pronunciation for some reason. It's just a melding of the French and German words for "Yes", so the correct pronunciation would be more like "wee-yah" or "wee-jah".

Saw this tonight. Although it's only PG-13, it was definitely an above average film. Pretty decent effects and very good acting. I enjoyed it much better than the first film. A lot of creepy moments. Definitely worth a watch.
