I've enjoyed Oz's previous efforts--definitely checking this out.

I've loved Krige's work since GHOST STORY, this looks intriguing.
The director is the son of actor/director Anthony Perkins and actress/photographer Berry Berenson.

The Blackcoat's Daughter was one of my favorite movies from the past decade, although I wasn't impressed with his NetFlix follow-up.

I've avoided the trailer, I plan on seeing it on the strength of The Blackcoat's Daughter alone, but I have to admit that all of the bad Brothers Grimm inspired mega-budget blockbusters from post-2000 has me less than optimistic. Perhaps that will work in my favor?

I found myself nearly nodding off twice during this film and it's less than 90 minutes long. Like The Lighthouse this one is filmed in an odd aspect ratio. 1.55 to 1. The film was well enough acted although the kid that played Hansel had some ridiculous dialog. It did have a few interesting scenes but overall it was rather dull and uneventful.

I had planned on seeing this and The Turning, but now that they're here I just can't muster the enthusiasm. In fact, I had two opportunities to see The Turning already and opted for Color Out Of Space and Bad Boys For Life IMAX instead.
