Enough with the Friday the 13th remakes. I wanna see part 11, with Jason in the snow. A winter version of Camp Crystal Lake. Starring Kane Hodder ... of course.

Seriously let's talk about about this. Just a fun idea. How cool would a Friday the 13th be in a winter scene? I could see it now, a bunch of "campers" go to Camp Crystal Lake during the winter, maybe even get stuck there in a storm or something like that.

    - Winter scene, being trapped , closed off roads, isolation...
    - Amazing contrast of gory kills against the white snow.
    - Some new potential kill weapons and scenarios for Jason. Ski poles, fire, icicles, skates, ice fishing auger, ice breaking choppers/shovels, etc... Frozen lake, drowning, etc...
    - Here's something we could get a chance to see. A frozen lake with the characters playing ice hockey. Need I say more? ...

Here's a scene I like to see. Jason using the snow for cover, just the hockey mask showing, breaks out and attacks victim.

Yeah, the campers could go there and break into the camp for a New Year's Eve party.

The game Until Dawn briefly touches on many of these ideas before completely going off the rails halfway through. I think what you described is an excellent idea hence the Hank Kingsley "Hey Now!" :) Draw up a screenplay and present it to Paramount. Lord knows they need assistance when it comes to horror films among other things.

Yeah, 'Until Dawn' is a great horror-film-turned-game. Had a blast with it.

I never liked the idea of Jason in the snow. I always thought people went camping in the summer. There is a foreign horror trilogy that takes place in the snow. I only saw the first one but it was good.

And talking about Jason, that one guy on CNN compared Trump to Jason after the debates. I don't think that many of the other people on the panel picked up on it though.

You mean "Cold Prey"? I love that movie - and the 2nd one is great too. I have never seen the third one but I hear its a letdown compared to the first two.

That's it. I like that one and want to watch all three at once. But since there is no more Fear.Net, most of the normal channels don't seem to show the odd foreign horror movies. I'm hoping for a bunch added to the listings on Monday as so far, I don't see much new for Halloween.

Yeah, it's not as great as the first two, but it's still a solid and brutal slasher, with a little bit of a Texas Chainsaw feel to a few scenes :)

I keep hearing good things about Cold Prey. It just keeps slipping from my radar. I need to make more of an effort to check these out.

They are decent slasher films. Just get your expectations up too high.

Hahhah! Yes, I meant "don't" lol. Honestly, they aren't bad movies. I just didn't think they were classics or anything.

Haha, all good! That's actually good to know because I've only ever heard hype this franchise up. I don't really know anything about the movies so that should probably help :)

Ranking the Friday the 13th movies:

    http://collider.com/friday-the-13th-movies-ranked-worst-to-best/#jason-goes-to-hell-the-final-friday

Friday the 13th VII New Blood

"The New Blood came out in the time of Scanners, which may explain why anybody (anybody!) felt the need to match Jason up against a young telepath. In this case, the telepath also happens to be a curious and damaged blonde, who accidentally brings Jason back from the dead when she begins to remember how she killed her father with her powers on the very same stretch of Crystal Lake property. Yes, it’s convoluted, and the fact that the telepath storyline is given a bogus sense of self-seriousness bogs The New Blood down hugely. The deaths are not particularly memorable, and the characters, even for Friday the 13th, are written with little in the way of focus or even marginal resonance."

What??????????????????? Omg, my chest hurts from laughing so hard.

Yeah that list is click bait. Glad we can tear it down in here ;D

Jason Goes to Hell is WAY to far down on that list.

They obviously know nothing if they're going to list Jason Goes to Hell (originally autocorreted to Jason Hoes to Hell lol) basically in the middle of that list. It should be right there at the top.
