Friday the 13th, no was is as good as the others. Halooween set the bar for the lone killer/slasher/theme date film.

    so it narrows it to:

    Friday the 13th
    NOTLD
    Frankenstein
And Halloween...unless the halloween hater comes forward...

So does anybody strongly oppose any one of these 4???

I don't oppose any of them. It hurts me a bit that it isn't Dawn of the Dead and Bride of Frankenstein up there, but what are you going to do? They are all fantastic.

The best one of all of those has to be Halloween.

Friday the 13th is no where near being perfect.

    For me....

    NOTLD
    Frankenstein
    Psycho
    Halloween

Friday the 13th is not that good guys...........really its not. It seems good cause the films that copied it are so much worse and got and get worse.

If you read the rest of the thread, one gets the impression that Hell Ya! Is full of shit and was merely being a Troll. He gives Halloween an "F" but as somebody else pointed out in the thread, he says on dvdaficionado that he owns not only Halloween, but parts 4 and 5. And this thread was from 3 years ago. You'd think if he hated the movie enough to give it an "F" he would have parted with them in the interrim... Most people would. But he hasn't. It's still listed! He says he hates Halloween, but I don't buy it. Not for a second.

Stop being full of shit Maybrick and accept what the man says. He hated Halloween, so what? Life will go on my good sir.
I hate a lot of shit we have on dvd but we still have the dvds.
Stop making this thread so complicated. If someone dislikes a movie then forget it and move on. You don't have to change your personal favorites just because someone else dislikes your choice so why get upset? :hum:

    Who's upset now?

If you have the DVDs in your personal collection for several years, then obviously you like the movie enough to justify keeping it. And if you don't, then sell it and use the money to buy something you DO like. What's so complicated about that?

Friday and Halloween are hanging on by a thread.
Granted maybe people do not think of them as "perfect" movies, but like somebody had said earlier, as long as nobody has a strong dislike for them then they can continue to be in the final group of movies (ie NofLD, Frankenstein, etc...)
So anybody strongly opposed to those left in the running?
