Not one of my favorites, but I'd be tempted to buy if it had the recent feature-lenght doc as an extra.

I wanna see what this looks like in motion. I mean I’m sure it looks better than the previous blu-ray (which actually never looked very good) but it’s so hard to judge based on 4K screencaps. They don’t translate well to a computer monitor because you can’t really accurately reproduce HDR on a monitor so the only way to really compare them is to watch them on your TV.

I preordered it. I'll post my thoughts on the transfer after I watch it.

On second thought...I cancelled my preorder. The folks on blu-ray.com are stating that this is a DNR'd mess.

That could mean anything coming from the forums there. I've seen peaple claim transfers I've found rather good to be utter garbage.

Agreed, however the film ultimately isn't one I've been itching to see since I saw it during its original theatrical run. I'm all for supporting UHD blu-ray's, especially horror, but ultimately I'll pass on this one.

From what I've read on there the DNR anomalies only happen every now and then, and it's not a consistent issue. "It's no Terminator 2 UHD disaster"

Come on Buck it's a gem :D At least download it and give yourself a refresher if you haven't seen it in ages.
Very good to hear. Thanks Kat. T2 was indeed a disaster and sadly looked odd and unnatural the whole way through. I hope they go back and fix that one soon as I'd love it in a proper 4k transfer.

Perhaps I'll stream it at some point. It has been awhile...

I really didn't want to buy Pet Sematary again, but after seeing the caps-a-holic comparison, I had to. Massive upgrade!

Fortunately my old blu-ray had the holographic slipcover, so I was able to get $25 for it! So everything worked out.

Yeah it does look like a pretty impressive upgrade. More work went into this than I would have assumed.

Still gotta ask I wonder why part Two didn't make it bluray?
