Phantasm... masterpiece or piece of garbage?

    I've seen it. Not a film I have ever been tempted to buy on DVD or see again. Each to his own though.

    I watched the original Phantasm last night. I still stand by my original statement that it's an excellent movie. After paying closer attend, I do agree that the acting is rather subpar. It's obviously very dated, but that has always been the case.

    Phantasm is great. Even though the "flying bug" scene is cheesy as hell but still kinda adds to the surreal atmosphere of this film :eek2:

    I need to see PHANTASM 2 again, badly. Hard as hell to find around my city. I own and love the SE of PHANTASM. Damn fun movie. It gets better with repeat viewings. :fire:

    Why do some people insist that all movies have to have a point? It's a fun movie. Isn't that good enough with a flick like this? I fucking love Phantasm.

    I agree. I also wonder about the people who say Phantasm is slow. The problem with MTV and it's influence on the entertainment industry is it's created a whole generation of people with ADD.

    I loved Phatasm. The sequels were good as far as horror sequels go. I really hope they wrap the series up instead of dragging it out like the Hellraiser franchise.
