Well, as far as which version Dario likes or doesn't like, I've always understood that the cut used on the Roan and Anchor Bay releases are his preferred version. But as far as the Dragon DVD goes, I should point out that it's not unheard of for a director to participate in the disc release of one of their films even if it's not their preferred version. George Romero did a commentary track for Elite's Dawn of the Dead laserdisc, even though they released the 142-minute cut instead of the 126-minute version that he finally settled on. Also, John Frankenheimer did a commentary for the first release of Reindeer Games, even though that wasn't his (since released) director's cut, either.
