Yes, #1 is The Claw. And to be clear the new round of screenshots are a second set of stills from the same movies. #1, #3, #4, #5 respectively. #2 was originally solved.
As we all digest and spend, spend, spend. Here's some more snapshots. #3, #4, #5 are left. Which in the second round of photos were #2, #3 and #4. I feel like the more I explain it the less sense it makes.
I think 3. is KING KONG and I'm guessing 4.is BRIDE OF THE MONSTER and 5. is THE BLACK SCORPION. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving !
King Kong and Black Scorpion are correct! Bride of the Monster is not correct. This movie is far worse than Bride of the Monster. And I don't think anyone guessed something of a theme with three giant monster movies that stared Mara Corday as the leading lady!
Correct! The biggest turkey I've ever seen. And it has a gorilla in it so what else do you need for Thanksgiving? This trivia entry on IMDb sums up the film pretty well: In his research and preparation for playing Bela Lugosi in Ed Wood (1994) Martin Landau watched this film three times stunned, saying that it was so bad "it made the Ed Wood films look like Gone with the Wind (1939)". I've subjected myself to many of the worse films ever made. BLMaBG is one of the few film I started fast forwarding through. Jerry Lewis can be bad enough but a cheap knock off of a Jerry Lewis film? As there's nothing worse than a bad comedy this is absolutely thee worst film ever made.
This thread ran out of steam long ago (good run, though), but I love screengrabs, so here's a new set for you guys if you care to take a stab at it. Need a hint? The oldest and most recent of these movies are separated by no more than 18 years, and the newest one is the one with the poorest resolution. There's almost a beauty-and-the-beast theme going on here, though the beast may also be an unwelcome admirer or monstrous family member.
#5 is Superbeast. #4 is Giallo a Venezia. That is indeed Andrew Stevens in #3 (who's also in Scared Stiff), but yeah, that still is from The Seduction. ...and #2 is Twisted Nightmare. Well done, guys! That just leaves #1, the only one not on Blu-ray, btw. It's of 1990 vintage and features a hideously disfigured killer (the best kind of killer, if you ask me). Oh, and Stones of Death?! I had to look it up to confirm that it wasn't a porno.
Here is a new set. View attachment 9574 View attachment 9575 View attachment 9576 View attachment 9577 View attachment 9578
#2 is Not of this Earth '57 I haven't even seen it yet but I know a Beverly Garland when I see one! Man I would not have guessed Brain Damage and that's a favorite of mine. I need to watch it again!
