It's a zombie movie so that's almost enough for me. I remember seeing it when I was a kid and I thought it was totally lame. When you suspend your need for consistency and characters that operate logically it's a much more entertaining flick. After sitting through the whole experience waiting for some sort of payoff you are rewarded with a real downbeat ending.

  3. I myself loved this film, i find it always a joy to watch. Some of the best chow down scenes on screen, a great zombie film that i am proud to own.

That is priceless. And yeah, Poison completely sucked ass, but that's just one chick's opinion, of course. I had a good friend who loved them and used to have the lead singer's poster up on her wall... but she totally lusted after him, like to the point where she'd literally lick the poster right in front of me, ew. I guess that kind of makes a case for what rp108 said, doesn't it... at least about Poison. Of course, when I see Hell of the Living Dead, I'll report back here. I do have a love for cheese, so I hope it's not that painful. :D

This movie cracks me up. I have only ever watched it sober, so you should be ok even without hitting the sauce Luna.

Hated it when I rented the VHS in '84 (as Night of the Zombies) - I was so turned off the pukey looking...well, everything as well as the nature footage.
The DVD somehow turned it all around for me - presentation means everything. I still, however, have yet to see the ending!

The ending is the whole movie for me.

I refuse to vote for either option because of this.

I've loved this movie since I was 11 or 12 when I saw it at the local drive-in as Night of the Zombies. It was paired with Bloodeaters (Toxic Zombies). What fun memories!:)

I haven't watched this in a long while, but it was one of my most watched VHS tapes as a kid. Margit Evelyn Newton topless in native warrior paint was a major turn on for me!

Haven't seen the film in a long time. I remember thinking it was pretty bad but perhaps it's time to watch it again.

When I first saw this,it was under the title Night of the Zombies and it was a Creature Feature VHS.I liked it but couldn't tell what the hell was going on,it was so dark. Then Anchor Bay released the DVD and it was a whole different movie, fantastic,as cheesy as it gets.Long live Mattei!
