I see Synapse is releasing a LE DVD/Bluray combo and the price is actually a bit steep. But the synopsis has got me somewhat interested. Has anyone seen this film? Thoughts on it?

I pre-ordered it because I'm a huge fan. It's an entertaining mix of Joe Dante's Matnee and an 80's slasher. I loved the killer and his backstory and the films within the film are a lot of fun.

I don't recommend it to newcomers at that price. Wait for the standard release.

I would re-buy, but only if it gets a solo DVD release.

    Themz the rules.

Agreed, it's a fun little film that I've always liked. I originally saw it in the theater back when it came out, and have seen it numerous times since. I've had the Steelbook on pre-order since it appeared, but if you haven't seen it before it's a steep price for a blind buy.

I'm sure this finally getting the Blu treatment will bring out everyone's - they who don't immediately jump onboard - curiosity, eventually those who didn't get the Blu will feel like they're being excluded from some kind of party and come tapping on the door to be let in or lay their mittens on the display window glass and drool like it's Christmas and Santa passed them by.

Are you sure? It's way too Creepshow 2 meets Society crossed with American Psycho.

I like the title font, however.

Hit the ignore button my friend and enter a world of pure blisssssss.....

The new art is awesome. Comparing it to the Creepshow 2 poster is a compliment (yeah I hit the show ignore content button and lost a few brain cells in the process)

I really like the artwork. It was used for a Fright Rags t-shirt a few years back, as I remember almost buying it.

Even if you don't like it, the original poster is on the other side.

    Nobody asked you.

Though you clearly read what I wrote in previous posts and cared enough to reply. Which makes you the only one of us who does. So... how exactly do you "win" (clearly your intention) in this scenario?

I used to be like him (saddens me just saying that) I wanted NOTHING to do with HD until 2015. I removed my head from my ass, bought my first player and haven't looked backed. Love HD!

It's really opened my eyes. My favorite movies look better....hell they smell better. It makes me want to go back and watch them more often.

DVD-fantard9 is so desperate to be different than the lot of us that he's missing out big time. Companies are releasing titles on DVD less and less. When Scream Factory announced Ghosthouse would be Blu only I finally broke. I know what you're thinking....GHOSTHOUSE!? That piece of rhino shit!? Yes but I love it and I didn't want to miss its first disc release in the US because I was too stubborn to go HD.

I love Popcorn. So much I was willing to shell out 50 bucks for it. I can't wait to see it in stunning HD.

And it's even better knowing that I'll be watching it while DVD-fandang9 cries into his blanket made up of skinned cats.

*sniff sniff* brings a tear to my eye.
