Speaking of Freddy, there's an internet rumor that Kevin Bacon was cast to play him in a reboot. His reply was as follows:

"It's internet crazy," Bacon said. "Somebody tweeted it...they said, 'You should play Freddy Krueger,' and I was like, OK.' It's one of those (rumors) that just like takes off. I'm not opposed to it though," Bacon added. "I'll do anything."

I wouldn't mind seeing Bacon as Freddy. The guy can play a good villain. The fact that he'd be willing to step into those shoes is pretty neat to hear.

I would love to see Bacon as Freddy Kruger. He can certainly play the part of a bastard very well. Pretty talented actor.

Any other "Freddy" besides Robert Englund is clownshoes. That remake from a few years ago was embarrassing. You can have different Jasons, different Michael Myers, different Leatherface.......no problem. But Robert Englund IS Freddy Kruger. End of discussion. What next, Gilbert Gottfried as the voice of Chucky?

In a strange way that might work. I sense a Robot Chicken skit.

+1 Even more I would like to see Kevin Bacon play some role in the next Friday the 13th movie. Even if just a cameo, like the guy that warns everybody, etc...

I've decided that I'm going to get a Hellraiser cube. But only display it during the Halloween month. I'm going to start researching the best ones soon. What do people here think are the best versions?

These look super nice, but are expensive: http://www.hellraiserbox.net/

The Movable Lament Configurations look like works of art, but are $$$

These look nice also, but again are expensive: http://www.thepuzzleboxmaker.com/

I have one of the NECA limited cubes from years back, but those were "mass market" replicas and hardly the best.

Thanks. I'm still going through those sites and thinking about if I need a moving version.

arkherotop.jpg I've had my eye on this Ark of the Covenant for quite a while.

    http://goldenarmor.com/arkhomepage/

Three things have kept me from buying one.

    1. It's $4000.
    2. I don't have the room.
    3. The wife said no.

My new Hellraiser possession. The Lament Configuration cast resin/hand-painted replica based off of the original box owned by Clive Barker. They made 87 hand numbered and autographed copies, and originally sold off his website for $450... but thankfully I only had to pay a fraction of that price.

Nice aged wood base (felt bottom) with a Clive Barker signature plaque. Definitely looks nice sitting in the curio cabinet.

One day I'll get one of those Hellraiser box's but I can't justify the prices at the moment. I've wanted a movable box for many years but those are even steeper in price. These ones here even play music: http://www.pyramid-gallery.com/LamentConfig.html

Just had a quick look and the movable "star" box would set me back around $717 AUD which is crazy. If it were around $250-$300 I'd probably own one by now lol.

This is more of a limited replica "aged" prop that I bought, based from the original prop box. No wood box or brass panels.

Those Pyramid Gallery boxes look awesome, I've been looking at them for a while now. This one looks really nice in the music box configuration: http://www.pyramid-gallery.com/TheLostConfiguration.html It's more of a custom design than strictly Hellraiser related though.

Your prop looks really nice and I love the display. Has an old relic look going for it.

Haha, Yeah I've been eyeing those ones off for years now too. I really love the designs they come up with for those custom boxes. The Lost Configuration is definitely a beauty and one I'd be happy owning.
