It was a toss-up for me between SUSPIRIA and HALLOWEEN, but that creepy drive at the start of HALLOWEEN just gets me every time, so I had to give it my vote. Nice to see another one of your themed polls again Helly, it took you long enough!
SUSPIRIA here......great intro....with the music and lighting.......draws the viewer into this surreal journey from the get-go............................
I voted for Deep Blue Sea, probably because I find it hysterically funny, which probably isn't the reason the creators hope I voted for it.
How about Spiderman, for obvious reasons!?!?! Sorry, I know it's not horror, but it was worth mentioning. For horror, I'd vote Return of the Living Dead.
Other. The mother from Poltergeist in her panties and t-shirt wallowing around in the muddy swimming pool hole with all the corpses!!!
Suspiria buys my vote from the movies in 'Billy's list - but Linnea Q's naked antics in Return - are awesome! Also - there's the double murder in Trauma, some rainy action at the beginning of Friday 13th Part 5 which is quite good. Don't Torture A Duckling has a good rainstorm chase too! :sperm:
I went with Psycho...the windshield wipers clearing the way so we can see the "Bates Motel" sign...classic. Susperia is a close second for me, though.
I went with... Michael Myers escapes from the asylum during a rain storm in HALLOWEEN I thought this was a real creepy part of the movie where everything is going horribly wrong for the doctor as the nurse tries to just stay alive. Having the mentally sick walking about outside the complex adds to the mayhem.
If you voted anything other than Suspiria, you are clue-less. It need not even be put into words why that scene is so fabulous. After that... I'll obviously go with Friday the 13th (which didn't make the list) because it just rained in almost all of the films. The Paramount films (the ones that mattered). But... I've always been a huge fan of the rain latter hour just before the coda / final scene in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Ridiculous movie. But it's so beautiful on that island. The rain didn't change that. Such a lush, gorgeous location. Insane.
