^ I don't quite understand. :/
Are you suggesting the US released is zoomed in?
Nah, it's not the same shot, don't worry I just meant the colors and clarity of the US DVD.
Thanks for that bit of info! I'm going to hold out on upgrading from my non-anamorphic version until the Blu ray is released. Kind of pissed I picked up that version now, but at that point I really didn't think it would ever get a region 1 release.
I'm waiting for when Murder Obsession comes out. As a retro slasher completist, it's a must have. And no, it's not a giallo! XD
All of Raro's current US releases are available on Netflix for streaming.
For those who don't have it already, Raro's Fernando Di Leo Italian Crime blu ray set (including the awesome ITALIAN CONNECTION, MILAN CALIBRE 9, THE BOSS and MR. SCARFACE) is now $12.99 on Amazon. A helluva deal -- I paid twice that for the set a year ago, not to mention the DVD set I bought a few months prior...
Thanks for the heads up!
So, whatever happened to a blu-ray coming for Live Like A Cop Die Like A Man? I have interesest in buying the DVD, but would rather have it on blu-ray.
The company just signed a new distribution deal through Kino, so new announcements are coming soon. SHOOT FIRST, DIE LATER will be the first out of the gate in May.
SHOOT FIRST DIE LATER preorder is live: http://www.horrordvds.com/vb3forum/showthread.php?t=44594
Wasn't this supposed to be apart of their Fernando Di Leo: The Italian Crime Collection Volume 2 set, along with Kidnap Syndicate and Naked Violence? I wonder if that set is still happening or if they will only be available separately. The first set went for pretty cheap, pretty much the same price as this one by itself.
Thanks for the info. Do you know if they're going to put out The Long Hair of Death? I know they released a PAL DVD long ago.
Haven't heard, but that'd be great! I'd really like them to upgrade some of their standard def titles like PERFUME OF THE LADY IN BLACK, PLOT OF FEAT, and BODY PUZZLE, too. I stopped buying their standard DVDs after getting burned on a few that hit blu later.
50% off of their Facebook store until midnight tonight. Some good prices.
Any recommendations? Body Puzzle looks most up my alley.
Where does it say that?
Go to the RaroVideo Facebook page.
Near the top, there are tabs: Timeline, About, Shop Our Films, Photos, etc.
When you go to check out, enter code: F1YTRPUK3N0H
Looks like shipping is free too.
I have Night Of The Devils ($12.49), Nightmare City ($10.49), Murder Obsession ($12.49), and Body Puzzle DVD ($5.49) in my cart. I will probably only get two, but can't decide which.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm not really familiar with a lot of their films except Nightmare City (which I have on DVD, but tempted to upgrade!!) but I'm going to buy a couple blind based on Amazon reviews. I'm getting Slaughter Hotel and Plot of Fear! Shipping was $2, but that isn't bad. Was Hoping it was free. It shows that U.S. Shipping is, but evidently it isn't! Not a bad haul for $23. It would have been about $11 more on Amazon. Was thinking about Night of the Devils, but didn't want to spend too much!
You're a bad influence!! I've ordered so much in the past month from all these sales at Vinegar Syndrome, Synapse, Full Moon. Going to be broke!!
Bad influence indeed  I just picked up Werewolf Woman blu, Hanging for Django blu and Body Puzzle. Thanks for the code Cpt Hook
There are so many releases that I've never seen or heard of. I'm not willing to pay full price for blind buys, but a Blu-Ray for $12.50 is worth it to me and I've bought a ton at that price lately!!
That 50% sale is back on!
