If you don't know what this movie is, I feel sorry for you.

If you don't know the glory of the fish-hook in the cha-cha, kill yourself.

If you don't know the Fall Break theme song off by heart, curse your kids.

Yay! We broke tonight that Buddy Cooper's The Mutilator is headed for DVD courtesy of Code Red - underdogs of the DVD circuit. Couldn't be happier.

Great news if they can improve on the transfer. Not a big Mutilator fan but if they release it 16x9 with a few extras I might double dip.

Ugh, I've always hated this film. It's boring as hell. (Maybe it's just the VHS I have) but I'd really rather see another Vestron title like Slaughter High get released instead. I'd personally rather have Funeral Home, Final Exam or NIGHT WARNING (PLEASE!!!) released instead of The Mutilator. (Or hell, re-release The Final Terror professionally) Oh well, I guess a lot of people have been waiting for this for some time now.

When the hell's Code Red gonna release Silent Scream?

I'l buy it,but never been one of my faves. I'd rather see a good release of Final terror or Slaughter high.

Damn, I don't remember much about this movie besides my not caring for it, but I'll pick it up anyway.

Cool, I'll upgrade if the transfer is better than the Dragon DVD and there are some worthy extras.

Hasn't it been quite a while now since Code Red even released a new disc though?

    The DVD addict's curse.

I have given this movie many chances not to suck, but it always does. It's one of the few slashers of the period I can't stand so I will pass.

I thought all the employees of Code Red were killed by an evil biological war waged on them by Blue Underground with mercenaries from Synapse and Media Blasters. Hey it's their own fault, only the strong survive in this cut throat business.

Will it take 3 years to come out? We waited forever with Don't go in the woods.

Yet MGM get nothing but praise for finally releasing THE BURNING after holding it back for 6 years?

It was a year wait for Don't Go in the Woods, tops.

I'll take a year wait over not knowing if something is coming out at all or a shitty transfer. One year is nothing. All these years for The Burning, yeah, that's excessive.

This is good news! The Dragon DVD was dogshit. Images would have this blurry effect when there's movement. Very annoying! The Mutilator can be very dull in spots, but the gore's great.

Figures, right after I find an unrated version on VHS they announce the DVD. Bastards.

Sounds like they just used a NTSC version and converted it to PAL. Lazy. Anchor Bay UK seems to do that often. (Bloody Birthday and The 'US' version of The Brood come to mind.) Creates a 'ghosting' effect. Sometimes you can phase it out in your mind if the movie's good enough...but it can be extremely annoying at times.
