Guys why does this movie get no love it seems? I saw this mentioned on the "26 greatest zombies" thread. Its not a bad movie,IMO its way better then part 3 and not as good as 1 but it has Karen and Mathews.I dont think its that bad of a sequel and isnt there a soundtrack of it out with heavy metal bands? Like Anthrax and the likes? The cover art is even bad ass.Maybe its just me,but it kicks ass.End of rant.

I actually enjoyed this movie- but the first was sooo good this one really pales in comparison. Ill disagree with you on return of the living dead 3- A year or two back I put my two cents in on that movie- It does not belong in the return of the living dead series but on its own I actually thought it was a very good zombie flick. It has a little more serious tone instead of the slapstick enjoyment of the first two and would have benefitted if it had just had its own title since it really has almost no resemblence to the first two movies in mood and story. And for those of you who ever watched the O.C. and have never seen or havent seen return of the living dead 3 in a long time make sure to take a close look at the lead girl character in the movie

Great sequel and very underrated (like Demons 2). Even though films like these are clearly made to cash in, they are still done with the fun of the original in mind. Love it!!! When I have seen the original too many times recently, this is a nice substitute. Sometimes, close enough is good enough.

Get that damned screwdriver out of my head!

Much love for Return of the Living Dead 2. I didn't know it was hated until I came here. To me, it always has been and always will be fun.

I never got the hate either. Sure, it's not as good as the first, but few movies are. The second one is fun as hell.

Sorry, no love for ROTLD 2. The clever, character-driven comedy of the first is replaced with dumb, campy slapstick. Part 1 wasn't just a comedy; at its core it was still a disturbing, gory horror movie. It had way better FX too.

ROTLD 3 is its own thing, and while flawed, I think it's overall a pretty good zombie flick. I haven't seen either of the more recent direct-to-Sci-Fi-Channel sequels. They really look like they blow, and I have yet to hear otherwise.

I was a bit upset when i purchased this movie and immediately noticed that the soundtrack has been changed with an even worse soundtrack, what was director Ken Wiederhorn thinking when he decided to change the soundtrack? After watching the movie with commentary Ken was a bit upset he changed the soundtrack himself, the music is horrible and does not work with the movie.

However you can watch the movie with the original soundtrack but you have to know how to speak French. Nothing tops the original ROTLD, a movie that never grows old. Had the chance to meet Trash "Linnea Quigley" she is a cool chick, aged a bit...

Amen! Never cared for the overdone comedy in ROTLD 2. I don't want an Airplane! with zombies. ;) It is a fuckin' classic compared to the rancid SCI-FI Channel sequels. You're in a world of hurt when the Tarman is reduced to a throwaway gag.

    Truth!

It is after part three where the series and I part company, but until then, it's all good.

Part 2 rocks, though most already know my opinion, If not, read my review for the LD or DVD.

I saw this in the theater with a few friends and we all loved it. Many years later I rented it and couldn't figure out what I thought was so great back then. It sort of lost something over the years and even the "damned screwdriver" scene which pretty much killed me the first time around didn't seem so funny anymore.
