I heard these are terrible. Saw a few minutes of each and was not impressed. Pretty cool to see them on ebay, though.

I have the DVDs. I think 5 is ok (Tarman makes an appearance) but 4, yeah, avoid that one.

Wow, this is a new one for sure. That 50k will never get you a return especially since you wouldn't get the US rights it sounds like.

Let's pool our money and buy it for an official site release.

If it were another film, no joke, I'd be into pooling money for a site release and I could probably call in favors for some of the work, but for this? Not a chance.

Rave to the Grave is kinda fun, Necropolis was so bad I sold it despite having all the other films, and I hate having holes in my collections!

I'm sure some higher up Gabe him the task and it is ruining his life. He's being told to sell the magic beans... Wait, bad analogy since the magic beans actually did something.

I love it, but part of the problem is that wouldn't we have to set up some kind of distribution in the unsold territory to recoup some costs? Even if we do just circulate it among ourselves, we'd have to have some good faith efforts. As they might be watching pretty damn closely. And for the money they're asking, we could probably get US rights for something we'd have more fun with.

If anything, maybe we should find the rights owners for Elves and get a Kickstarter going there.

I'm pretty sure I have contact info for the rights holders on Elves. If film elements exist anymore it would have to be reconstructed from scratch.

I watched Rave to the Grave recently on dvd - had only seen bits on tv before - and although it was awful it didn't have to be.

I was surprised at how much nudity was in it - which of course would have not been present on tv. The gore I thought was pretty well done for the most part. It was cool to have Tarman back. Some of the cast was decent - Jenny Mollen was good and I liked the small amount of time Aimee-Lynn Chadwick was on the screen.

BUT - the humor was very poor - I mean it was so unfunny it was annoying- it didn't work at all. And the scenes where some of the kids start tripping and they do that really fake looking head movement thing- that was horrible too. I didn't mind the hokey concept with the drugs- I actually thought it was a decent idea however eye rolling a concept it was.

And do not get me started on how no one seemed to react to anything that was going on around them in this movie most of the time.

If it was simply a DTV without the Return of the Living Dead title in it I would say it was fair - if they had cut the humor out and some of the cheapskate effects this would have been a lot better despite some bad acting, writing and hokey concept. It really is a bad movie - but I found it watchable. I do not know if I will ever spend the time to watch Necropolis.

Not sure if you might like Necropolis better or not. Your feelings on Rave parallel mine to Necro, so maybe you'll like that one.
Remember, I said Rave was fun, not good! All I recall from Necro is zombies cracking (not funny) one-liners and shooting machine guns.

Yea I doubt I would like Necropolis - I found Rave to the Grave just watchable enough- and I think the positive things I mentioned about it do not exist in Necropolis from what I have read. I agree with you - it's good qualities make Rave to the Grave just enjoyable enough if you do not think of it really as part of the ROTLD series and just a goofy DTV movie.
