What an accomplished life--but a fraction of which we were fortunate to share. Thank you for sharing it with us, Sir Christopher Lee. RIP.

Tragic news. What a long and distinguished career. I grew up watching Christopher Lee and Hammer. Lee and Cushing were my favorite actors when I was young. RIP.

R.I.P., terrible news and one of my favorite actors. :( :( :(

At least he had a great long life, and worked until the end. The legend will be missed!

Sir Christopher Lee was so indispensable to the horror/fantasy genre that if he hadn't been real we would have had to invent him. The man embodied Dracula, Frankenstein's creature, Fu Manchu, The Mummy, Sherlock Holmes, Francisco Scaramanga, Count Dooku and Sauroman The White. He was not only directed by genre icons like Terrance Fisher, Freddie Francis, Don Sharp .Jess Franco and Mario Bava but mainstream icons like Alfred Hitchcock, Orson Welles, Billy Wilder, Richard Lester, Joe Dante,Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, and Peter Jackson. My God, what a body of work !

He was also half of horrors greatest duo. With his best friend, Peter Cushing, he was part of a magical pairing. With fellow pal Vincent Price, the three once had a combined birthday dinner (Lee and Price had the same birthday, Cushing was born the day after) at no less than the infamous Tower Of London ! That's a dinner party I wish I could have attended !
On top of that he was a war hero, a writer, producer and singer (classically trained in the opera style, he cut some heavy metal albums too).He had a career that lasted six decades, stayed in a happy marriage for 53 years and did it all without being involved in some embarrassing scandal like so many stars fall into. He is also horror's only icon to ever be knighted.
Here's to a man of class, a man worthy of respect. Here's to Christopher Lee. Rest In Peace, God Bless.

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.

To the greatest Count Dracula of them all, you did it the best Sir. What joy you brought to my moving viewing life. You were a true inspiration. Now you join the ranks of the all time best, along side Peter and Vincent...the Three Musketeers of Horror. RIP Dear Christopher.
