Just caught on Facebook that Italian film composer Riz Ortolani passed away in Rome today at age 87 due to complications with bronchitis. Riz Ortolani was responsible for some extremely memorable film scores, including the magnificent Cannibal Holocaust score, among many other Italian genre efforts.

    RIP Riz.

    He did some amazing scores...

I dislike Cannibal Holocaust, but love the music score by itself.

Nominated for an Academy Award for the song "More" from... Mondo Cane (a song also sung by Frank Sinatra). It seems that he was working 'till the very end. I admire these people so much. RIP.

Rest peacefully, maestro. Currently listening to "Do It To Me (Once More)" in honor of him.
