    .....and the hate continues.

Not that it isn't warranted in this case though, the Halloween remake was a joke.

I might get it if it has both cuts. I didn't like the film that much but for some reason I have an urge to watch it again.

You know, this thread would make just as much sense if you removed "getting a 3 disc DVD" from the title...

Damn, what a waste of a dvd release! I can't think of anything more self-indulgent than adding on a 4 and a half hour making of documentary, which is precisely the case here. The documentary on The Devil's Rejects was informative and didn't wear out its welcome clocking in at just under 90 minutes if I recall.

Rob's Halloween was the audio equivalent of a hangover induced by a malt liquour drinking spree: way too loud, bludgeoning profanity, seasick cinematography, and seemingly no relief in sight. :fuck:

No thanks for that 3 disk set. The Feast 2 and Mother Of Tears disks sound good though.

Halloween didn't deserve a trailer, let alone three discs. I'm surprised it took four hours to write, cast, direct, and edit the movie to be honest.

Only if there would be a Blu Ray version of the original included.

I can't believe it took 20 minutes to get to where the original started. Zombie over thought the story. He should start being creative and not have all his films, especially this, concentrated in a white trash setting. Don't mean to get all big city folk here, but fuck, does anyone have their shit together anymore? No wonder why this continent is going down fast. Man this film pisses me off.

Amen. But then, I always assumed these pretty much were the type of people he hangs around with - and certainly all he knows. Oh look, some nasty uneducated stinkbag with an attitude... how compelling.......

No thanks, I could really care less. The cameos in the film were the best thing about it, and more bonus features just seems...useless.

I want to let you guys know that I just got out of the john after making my own personal, second remake of Halloween, and you know what? It isn't much to look at but it's still easier to stomach than Rob Zombie's floater.

I didnt mind his remake, reimaging, whatever it is... I did not like the prequal portion at the beginning much at all- when it got to the actual remake portion I actually found that somewhat entertaining

Maybe all three discs will be filled with Carpenter's Halloween, the TV version of Carpenter's Halloween, and extras for Carpenter's Halloween.

Such a DVD edition of "Zombie's" Halloween without "Zombie's" Halloween would actually make it watchable.

In my opinion, the title of this thread should have been "Rob Zombie's Halloween remake getting a budget, green-light, audience really necessary?"

Then again, I just watched The Devil's Rejects again last night and was (again) blown away by how great that film is. That film truly feels like a labor of love, where everything came together in a perfect way. It's pretty brilliant.

I have no kind words for Zombie's Halloween, however.

EDIT: As for the film getting a 4 hour documentary ... honestly, I didn't even think the feature-length Rejects documentary was that good. I think that's the first in-depth documentary on a fave-film of mine that I didn't enjoy at all. It just felt needlessly lengthy and didn't shed a light on much. Since the film felt so passionate, I would have liked Zombie's input on the documentary to have been the same. He just seemd bored, annoyed and annoying.
