Hopefully, they did more than just reinsert missing footage for Ruby, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm getting confused with all these corrected discs. I'm starting to lose track. I mean if I order AFTER the disc had been corrected does that mean I'll still have to go through the process of replacing the disc or does Amazon have all the new corrected discs in stock. I'd ask here because I'm sure Amazon wouldn't have an answer.

I wouldn't count on Amazon having corrected discs.

That Ruby Blu-ray sadly remains an unwatchable mess.

RUBY looks like you're watching the movie through a screen door. I liked the DPI logo on the old DVD :) so I'm hanging on to that one. It's a fun movie - the horror scenes feel tacked on though. It feels like a more "mature" movie was being made but the drive-in antics of early 70's exploitation horror that pop up tend to cheapen it a bit. They're not as refined and somewhat clunky.
For my birthday in 1977, I begged my family to take me to see this at the drive-in. We ended up seeing SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER for the 5th time because we had relatives visiting with young kids and they didn't want them to be scared. The irony - we kids watched as much of RUBY as we could from the back of the car (without sound) and remembered the horror antics for years onward.

Interesting time for this thread to be bumped, as I just ordered Ruby yesterday. Hoping I get the fixed version, but if I don't, I have the replacement disc info.

Just got Ruby today, was wondering if the experts here can help me. I've never seen the movie before, so I wouldn't know what to look for (and I'd prefer my first viewing to be the best version possible).

I'm assuming I got the corrected version because it says "REV1" on the case under the barcode. Can anyone who got the original pressing and had to have the replacement disc mailed to them, can you confirm that this wasn't on your copy:

I don't have it myself yet, but since it says 'REV1' on it it's gotta be the corrected pressing since they wouldn't release the first flawed release with "revisions".
