I was going to do an all time list but I guess that has been done. Or maybe I'll do that next. for now I thought I thought it would be interesting to go with the last ten year. Pick your Fav.

That scene in Signs STILL scares the crap outta me. The best part is that it's NOTHING, just some dude walking by!

BWP for me, although the other one that stands out that isn't listed here is the scene in The Village where Opie Jr. is "looking" at the monster, there's a very long pause, and then it starts running at her. I peed a little.

Other for The Strangers: the entire sequence when Liv's character was waiting on him to get back with her cigarettes. Pretty much every scene in there scared the hell out of me.

Out of the ones listed, I would have to go with Open Water (2003) - Night time Thunderstorm shark attack. I was mortified.

Other - the tent scene in Blair Witch chills me to the core. I always get jittery when I know the scene is approaching.

Special mention goes to the last ten minutes of [●Rec] and listening to the alters in Session 9.

Scene in Blair Witch stands out to me- creeped the hell out of me and was the perfect ending to a great movie- the scene in Audition would be my second choice - was very creepy also and effective but I dont know about "scary" per se

Definitely that scene in Session 9. As soon as I read the topic, I immediately thought of that scene and was surprised to see it included on the list. The first time I watched it, I actually had to pause the movie and make sure nobody was standing behind my couch. I haven't had a chill like that since I was a kid.

I voted for other. The initial road scene in Jeepers Creepers scared the daylights out of me, when the Creeper sneeks up on the brother/sister driving home. The van he drove was funky and that blaring horn. In fact, there were a lot of creepy parts to that film, including when they drove past the Creeper while he was throwing bodies down the pipe that lead into the abandoned church. The way he stared at them made the hair on my neck stand up.

The house in the woods. Abandoned houses in the middle of nowhere are scary. I went to one with a few friends and it was a trip. It was dark. The house was gutted. You could see the basement from the first floor. There were baby clothes and garbage everywhere. We heard a crashing sound from upstairs and hauled ass. Found out later it was a pad for druggies. Another scene from BWP that gave me the creeps was the giggling children outside of the tent.
