Regardless of their opinion, I'd say their screengrabs and technical specs speak for themselves. I think they are pretty trust worthy when it comes to that.

Actually, I'd say in terms of the technical specs, which are really the most important part of the review anyway, DVDBeaver is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to review sites.

What is everyone's top Severin Blu-ray upgrade wishlist title? Mine is Caribbean Papaya aka Love Goddess of the Cannibals. Love this flick and the soundtrack is awesome too.

Can't pick just one, but would love to have the remaining Franco films they've released upgraded to Blu (Inconfessable Orgies of Emmanuelle, Macumba sexual, Mansion of the Living Dead, The Sexual Story of O) as well as Fulci's Perversion Story and the classic biker-horror flick Psychomania.

Papaya Love Goddess of the Cannibals lobby DVD covers A.JPG

I have two DVD versions of Papaya and as you can probably tell from the picture haven't watched either copy. Lol. Terrible.

my most wanted Severin blu ray upgrade would be for Felicity, I love that movie, but I'd rather see them release a movie on blu ray that hasn't been released on DVD or blu ray in the United States uncut and that is the origingal Black Emanuelle film.

I already got it on preorder :) this looks like a great release it's got 2 other movies included with it, so it's a packed blu ray, can't wait to see it :)

Mama, this Blu-ray smells like death! New restoration of 2k scan and a load of exclusive extras. A very special edition of a very special film... full specs and street date coming very soon!

Glad I held off on the 88 films release.

Let's wait and see if there is a reason to be glad. The 88films transfer was taken directly from the original negative and looks much better than any other transfer available today. Severin's disc is said to be a "restoration" of a 2K scan. We'll see what that means...

i'm totally satisfied with the 88films transfer, even if this one would turn out better!

i would like to see all these different companies release different films instead of releasing their own scans of the same films, especially if blurays are released region free

Love Severin but can't imagine a world where I'd need more that the 88 films Blu.

If I remember correctly, Severin is using the same master, but are doing their own work on it.

I agree. Do we really need 3 different blu-ray releases for a title like Burial Ground. Get some new titles out there.

I don't own either of the blu-rays, only the Shriek Show DVD.

I'll pick up the Severin blu-ray, mainly because it's region A and is surely better than the Shriek Show disc. Glad I never picked up the others.

The Wild Beasts is coming soon from Severin I am way more excited for that title than burial ground

It's good for those who aren't region free. I am, but I always try and buy Region A discs when I can.

I'm also pretty sure I read somewhere that Severin will port over the extras on the previous Shriek Show release.

Same here, plus Severin's Blu-ray quality record is sketchy.
