...or just get the excellent 88 Films Blu-ray cheaper. It's region free too.
Been meaning to get the 88 Films version of Drive In Massacre but now I will just wait and see if the Severin version better. I dig 88's red cases admittedly and it is the original cover art.
I'll probably end up getting both just to keep my Slasher classic line going, I'm weak
I already pre-ordered the 88 Films blu-ray and the film isn't worth buying two versions (to me).

Cathy's Curse coming too!:
I liked it better when I watched it recently than when I was a teen. I agree wouldn't buy 2 versions of it either, though.
Is there a review up for the 88 Films release of Drive-In Massacre or did you get yours early?
I got mine about a week ago direct from 88.
Thanks for the personal endorsement. I will probably just get the 88 Films release. If I wait for the Severin release, it will just cost more & potentially be no better in terms of audio & video.
I pre-ordered this back on March 12th and I'm still waiting. Amazon hasn't even sent a shipping confirmation yet.
It's a nice release; there are 2 seperate HD cuts of the film on the disc, an interview with the director, a featurette/interview with Justin Kerswell, a TV spot, and some bonus trailers. A booklet is also included with a lengthy interview with writer/actor John Goff.
It's only shipping early if you ordered direct from 88 Films' website. Everywhere else it comes out on the actual release date, July 25th.
Would any of you recommend Drive In Massacre to a twisted mister such as myself?
If you like slashers and 70's films, you'd probably like it. Buck Flower (also the co-writer) appearing in the film's end scene is completely out of left field.
It was shot in less than a week, and only runs at 74 minutes in it's longest form. It has several very memorable characters though.
You sold me.
I should have said 74 Minutes as the longest running time of the film though. Oops.
The film also has some classic lines, like:

Best news I've heard in a LOOONG time! Not only is the movie really good, it's an announcement for something that has NEVER even been on DVD!! (the bootlegs don't count LOL). Seriously, when I first read this I screamed like a schoolgirl. Can't wait to hear the specs.
