Where should Romero's upcoming Land of the Dead go? To the theaters where it will probably get heavily edited or straight to dvd for some uncut action? Is seeing it on the big screen worth watching an edited version?

At this point, it's just speculation what will happen with the film..I just want some opinions. :)

It's gotta go to the theaters first. The masses have got to take this one in. Excpecially all the little teenie bopper's who think that Dawn '04 was "so original".

Romero is back, and he is gona show these fuck's how it's done.

Most films aspire to have a theatrical release as that is where the producers hope to make their money. However, if the producers/studio determines the film sucks and the amount of $'s needed to properly market the film will be a waste... hello direct to DVD. Then again if the movie really sucks they could close down production during filming.

I would expect that Romero be able to make a decent film that at least gets a limited theater release and based on those results a wider or hurried DVD release.

Theater for sure. I've seen NOTLD, Dawn, Day and NOTLD'90 all in the theater. This one has to go there first.

Theater. Romero deserves to have this routed like any other legitimate effort. I hope it does well for him.

If this is his last Zombie movie, it deserves to be show on the big screen. It would be cool if they did a back to back showing of all the movie one after the other a la Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

To the theaters first as an R rating then released on DVD in both an R and Unrated rating.

Considering we are in a Zombie renaissance I say strike while the fire is hot and release this puppy in theaters as soon as possible. It'll also give George and crew a chance to make some cash.

I say theater. It's the only way this film will get mainstream recognition and encourage more of its kind to be made. I have no problem with an R-rated version theaters, as long as I get all my gory violence on DVD.

Now I want to know who voted straight to DVD.
