This schedule has been approved by Cliff Mac, Shout! Factory producer, who's in charge of the Corman flicks. This thread is duplicated on Home Theater Forum where Cliff makes appearences on occasion to rectify any changes in release dates, movie pair-ups, extras etc. He can also be found on AV Maniacs where he pretty much does the same.

That's how I felt this past summer when GALALXY OF TERROR, FORBIDDEN WORLD, PIRANHA, and HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP came out. To get enough cash I actually went through my extensive movie collection and got rid of everything that I knew I wasn't going to watch ever again. Made just enough money, too.

I think I just came a little. I've been waiting for these Pam Grier movies to be reissued forever! I have them all on VHS and never bought the DVDs because they were all full frame transfers. Let's hope they're widescreen this time around!

Cliff said that THE PAM GRIER COLLECTION may be a bit pricier than their typical sets due to all the extras they intend to put on it. All these flicks below are already up for pre-order at AMAZON. Sometimes, DVD Pacific has them cheaper, which is why I make all my pre-orders through them:

    - Butch and Sundance The Early Days/Death Hunt (Doubles)
    - Lucky Lady
    - 11 Harrowhouse
    - Capone with Ben Gazarra and Sylvester Stallone

    - Up From The Depths/Demon Of Paradise (Double Feature)
    - Sci-Fi Triple Feature (Attack Of The Crab Monsters/Not Of This Earth/War Of The Satellites)
    - Jackson County Jail/Caged Heat (Double Feature)

If that Race with the Devil/Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry double feature has all the Anchor Bay bonus features then I'll be a happy camper.

It's great to see that Shout! will release a new edition of Little Shop (1960). I wondered if the colorized version and the Mike Nelson commentary from the Legend Films release will be ported over.

Wow, I might have to sell my Race with the Devil disc. I was so happy to find that at Hollywood Video's closing and thought it would never get re-issued. Forgot about Shout!:D

Looks like you won't have to wait until May or June for DIRTY MARY, CRAZY LARRY/RACE WITH DEVIL (DOUBLE FEATURE), it's coming out April 12th, and I have already posted a pre-order AMAZON link in the opening post. And here's some cover art for another double feature. No date yet on when it's coming out.

Has Shout Factory given up on blu-ray? For a while there they were cranking them out, but I don't think they've released one since Starcrash last September.

I bought all of their blu-rays except for Starcrash and Death Race 2000. I am also missing The Stepfather on blu-ray, but I do own their DVD of it.

I'd love to see more blu-rays from them.

Don't know about the blu-ray issue, maybe, their blu-rays didn't sell all that much. Not really an issue for me, since I haven't gone blu yet. Will be getting a regionless blu-ray player next Christmas, though.

They still have BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS scheduled for blu in July.

I really enjoyed there BDs but my guess is that after BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS we've seen the last of them. Back in September B Ward commented that "the DVDs are outselling the BDs handily" on Shout's Forums and more recently there has been discussion at AVMainiacs that the Double Feature DVDs aren't selling as well as expected.

I hope the quadruple feature of "Deathstalker/Deathstalker II/Warrior and the Sorceress/Barbarian Queen" will be available everywhere unlike their release of "Warrior and the Sorceress/Barbarian Queen".

yeah, im looking forward to that one. it'll mean i can skip the double feature website exclusive version.

its a shame that the blus aren't selling as well, they were some of my favorite discs of last year. but it does seem like they are running out of titles that would be worthy of even a standalone release, let alone a blu ray. if not releasing lesser corman titles on blu ray means they can release more things like the stepfather on blu, thats for the better, in my mind.

Shout have already announced that they don't hold the licensing rights to release these three.
