If you followed the link in my previous post you already knew that.
ZOMBI 2 extras thusfar
Follow the link to see who we have interviewed thusfar for the DVD.
Two Easter Eggs have been completed as well. I'll keep those under wraps for the time being
I forget which non-U.S. posters the collage of images come from. The "Tor Johnson" zombie is featured on the Australian poster. The art of the zombies attacking the cityscape is...French?
I prefer the American one-sheet since it is so...IT.
The central image - the painted one of the undead walking into NYC - is from the original Italian release (I should know, I've got it hanging in my living room!). However, they've cropped it somewhat and added other images from the film, which is a shame as it looses its impact a bit.
Be nice if the disk had Giannetto De Rossi demonstrating how he created the wonderful make-up for the zombies. Yup, nothing like seeing a poor smuck waiting three hours in the sun for the make-up to dry.
I just read at Devildead.com ( http://devildead.com/indexdbtop.php3?langage=0&FilmsID=729 )
that this version is 115 minutes long!
Anchor Bay's version is "only" 91 minutes...........
Is there a longer version available afterall?Or have they accidentally switched this running time with that other upcoming Fulci flick "Lizard..."( http://devildead.com/indexdbtop.php3?langage=0&FilmsID=3495 )??
That would explain a lot!!
You know, I noticed the same 115 minute running time for Zombi 2 listed on Amazon.com and I was going to post it here, but I just assumed that it was a mistake.
Update: DVDPlanet also lists the running time as 115 minutes.:eek2: Anyone able to shed some light on this?
I have had dealings with Amazon, since my books are available there. I can tell from first hand, the people that run Amazon are morons. I wouldn't trust anything they have posted.
But at least three different web sites list the running time as 115 minutes.
You took the words right out of my mouth. I love the art, but where is the rotting zombie head??? It should be like a sin not to have that at least in a small corner on the cover! And I also think the lettering looks crappy, I love the lettering on the original poster, they should have used that.
Looks like they got a Zombie to type that cover.
Can you Pre-Order this off of Amazon Yet.
Could you give me the link. I can't find it.
Well if you think about it, why would they release the same cover as AB's disc? People walking in stores would just think it's the same AB version that has already been released and not give it a second glance. If they see a totally new cover, it would attract more attention which means more sales.
just go to amazon and search for "zombi 2"
Thanx I was looking for ZombiE!
Are they releasing this in full frame?
I'm getting very confused....................
This cover is basically the original ITALIAN poster art. They have changed the text font though, and added the blue bits on the side witha few more zombies. But the cover is definately based upon the original italian artwork. I'd have preferred it if they had stayed with the original without "enhancement", but at least I can see some of their logic now.
