I forget which non-U.S. posters the collage of images come from. The "Tor Johnson" zombie is featured on the Australian poster. The art of the zombies attacking the cityscape is...French?
I prefer the American one-sheet since it is so...IT.

The central image - the painted one of the undead walking into NYC - is from the original Italian release (I should know, I've got it hanging in my living room!). However, they've cropped it somewhat and added other images from the film, which is a shame as it looses its impact a bit.

Be nice if the disk had Giannetto De Rossi demonstrating how he created the wonderful make-up for the zombies. Yup, nothing like seeing a poor smuck waiting three hours in the sun for the make-up to dry.

You know, I noticed the same 115 minute running time for Zombi 2 listed on Amazon.com and I was going to post it here, but I just assumed that it was a mistake.

Update: DVDPlanet also lists the running time as 115 minutes.:eek2: Anyone able to shed some light on this?

I have had dealings with Amazon, since my books are available there. I can tell from first hand, the people that run Amazon are morons. I wouldn't trust anything they have posted.

But at least three different web sites list the running time as 115 minutes.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I love the art, but where is the rotting zombie head??? It should be like a sin not to have that at least in a small corner on the cover! And I also think the lettering looks crappy, I love the lettering on the original poster, they should have used that. :D

Well if you think about it, why would they release the same cover as AB's disc? People walking in stores would just think it's the same AB version that has already been released and not give it a second glance. If they see a totally new cover, it would attract more attention which means more sales.

This cover is basically the original ITALIAN poster art. They have changed the text font though, and added the blue bits on the side witha few more zombies. But the cover is definately based upon the original italian artwork. I'd have preferred it if they had stayed with the original without "enhancement", but at least I can see some of their logic now.
