I hope this isn't one of those flicks that lingers for years. I know it's still in post but he also mentioned they have yet to find a distributor.

    Favorite part:

"Coscarelli did tease that big things are afoot regarding a massive box set of all Phantasm films... Can we hope for more awesomeness from Scream Factory?)."

Which brings my theory that Scream/Shout! acquired the rest of the films, still on the table (despite them saying they don't have plans. They're not fooling me).

Anyone see the leaked trailer? A bit slow but it was good to see some new footage.

It's still out there, just google it. It looks great, I'm just hoping it'll be released before angus dies.

It's a good trailer but I wish half of it wasn't Reggie wondering about in the mausoleum, though the lady in lavander transition was cool.

Some of that CGI still looks like something out of a crappy SyFy movie.
But as long as the movie kicks ass, I can live with it :)

I really hope that we will get a real ending this time.
Angus is turning 89 next week, and if they leave us with yet another cliffhanger, he won't survive for another 10-15 years until part VI ;)

Or if Angus does pass away I'm sure they could just insert him digitally like they did with Arnie in the latest Terminator. However, that does cost $$$ and I don't think Phantasm movies quite have the budget of a Terminator movie. That being said though, in years to come it may be cheaper to do these things and even lower budget movies may be able to achieve these results.

It's not a trailer. It's a sizzle reel that premiered at Texas Frightfest.

I expected 2015 would be a big Phantasm year but nothing yet.

I read on Facebook that this may be pushed back to next year.

I never really expected to see it this year. Hopefully it does actually show in 2016. Hopefully the delays are for good reasons; to find the right distributor and/or improve the effects. I can wait. I'm just thankful the movie was made at all.

On another note, I don't expect to see Synapse's Suspiria until 2017...
